    Changing filter every other OCI

Once i install the Fram Ultra in my Toyota I'll use the filter for 2 OCIs at least which equals to 2 years. Thinking about leaving it in for 3 OCIs but 3 years seems a bit too much.

    BMW S85 oil report

I'd just stick with 10W-60 since that has always been the recommended oil for the S85 but im pretty sure any euro oil in the 40 weight (5W OR 0W) can handle it without any problems at all in normal conditions, unless it is tracked hard which i would understand why they specced it with such a...

Mann ML1002 - post mortem with pics

Purolator Mann, not the same as euro ones. At least in my experience, all of the MANN filters i've used have performed exceptionally well "aesthetically" wise, straight pleats and no tears.(Built in Germany, Mexico and another Europe country which i forgot)

    BMW S85 oil report

I wouldnt worry about it but i definitely would avoid flooring it or even driving at high RPMs . . . its just one week only. After the repairs you can unleash the beast again. Hahahaha And dont forget to update us. Pics if possible.

    BMW S85 oil report

It is probably just starting to wear out but you never know how long it will last and you will probably not drive the car confidently since you know it has problems and might blow the engine at any time so the best option would be to get the engine checked and replace the parts IMO. Then you...

    BMW S85 oil report

Sad news dude, you engine is having problems with the piston rod bearings, its a well known issue in the BMW S85/S65 engine family and there are revised parts for it which allowed for greater clearances if im not mistaken. Im almost confident your engine is starting to have problems with piston...

    BMW n20 engines

The "FE" in the latest rating seems to mean something like Fuel Economy and this new oil is geared towards exactly that. Lower viscosity, lower HTHS for higher fuel economy. I'd just keep using the thicker oils since these engines are also designed for them and gives you better peace of mind.

    BMW n20 engines

AFAIK all BMW engines still uses the BMW LL-01 in USA and almost everywhere else except for a couple of countries where BMW LL-04 is specced due to better fuel quality. Any LL-01 oil will perform as expected. Your choice. Most of them are either 0W-40 or 5W-40.

Tips on how to keep our kids safe online

Try to keep them busy so they use the internet as least as possible, that is probably the best way. Personally, i'd get a service free or paid to place some restrictions on certain things and even monitor activity if you want. (Norton Family is a good choice for a paid service/software) Educate...

My local Toyota dealer does not use Toyota oil..

Dealers here also use the cheapest bulk oil they can get their hands on as long as it meets the specs and is from a reputable brand. I've seen Castrol, Shell and Motul but never OEM oil. At the end of the day, most OEM oils have nothing special or unusual in them and sometimes in terms of add...

    M1 0w40, 5,500mi, '15 Civic Si

Unless its for warranty purposes that oil looks extremely underused. Low wear, no shear, no insolubles, no fuel and insane TBN. Pretty sure even at 7.5K OCIs you would still be very far from using the oil to its full potential and it's a Honda SI so its an uber reliable, bullet proof machine.

    M1 0W40, 11.7k mi, 07 Sprinter gasoli (vs. AMSOil)

I'd stick with the M1 and do a couple of more runs to look at wear metals because in this OCI you had more loaded miles. M1 is probably cheaper than Amsoil up there so its the better choice.

How do your leather seats look?

Most brands nowadays use leatherette which is synthethic or fake leather (Not sure how you call them) and they tend get wrinkles pretty fast and wear down into an ugly mess. Both my Toyota and Audi have leatherette and the Toyota which is babied already started developing wrinkles and the Audi...

    Delo 15W-40, 17,017 mi, 02 GMC 2500HD Duramax

Nice, im planning to use this oil in my Toyota. Seems like it will be a good choice given its the cheapest HDEO oil i can find and a very robust one with a good add pack.

Honda Accord vs Mazda 6 (base models)

I'd go with the Mazda. Looks better both inside and outside and drives better. Not sure about reliability but AFAIK i havent heard any recalls or serious design issues with their engines and transmissions so my guess would be that if you maintain it properly, it will be reliable. Oh, and at the...
