If temps are above freezing could 10w30 offer more cold start protection than 5w30 in a vehicle that calls for 5w30? What temps would make 5w the better choice?
What exactly makes quaker state cheaper than pennzoil? Even other non shell brands cant compete with the price. Supertech and qs are priced very close.
I follow the rule of not leaving used oil in an engine for over a year regardless of hours or miles. Im sure your owners manual will say "or one year whatever comes first". In that case i would use cheaper oil and filter or shop for better stuff at a discount.
I just ordered 5 jugs of ultra platinum from walmart.com with 2 day free shipping for 25 each. Regular platinum and the high mileage variation are 22.40 in store. Which is the better deal? Also ive used all 3 and the ultra platinum is darker meaning more additives?

Would you still get the fuel mileage benefits of dexos 1 in a older gm vehicle? Maybe like a early 2000s model? Also what about in another brand such as a nissan or a ford?
Can anybody find detailed accurate efficiency ratings for the ac delco upf44? Rock auto says 98% single pass at 25-30 microns, the ac site says 98% multipass at 25-30 microns. What would this be at like 10 microns?
