The pressure is verified with a manual guage. 0 burning or leaks. Only the lower than average pressure.

I have been running 5 qts m1 10w30 and 1 qt lucas hd oil stabilizer in a 6.0 lq4 engine that has some lower oil pressure in hot weather. What would my actual viscosity resemble with this mix? I plan to switch to a 5w40 syn or 40wt euro syn most likley mobil or pennzoil. I am averaging 15 psi hot...

My lq4 engine runs 15-20 psi hot idle and around 35-40 at highway speeds on 10w30. Lucas oil stabilizer seemed to add around 3-5 psi average.

How much oil and filters should be stashed? I keep around 6 months of oil and 8-12 months of filters i aquired from rebates and coupons.

Probably not a direct answer to the question but 07+ models with dod cylinder deactivation tend to have more wear and usually end with a lifter exploding under 200k miles but can be avoided with devices that lock out the dod such as custom tuning. Amazon sells a box that plugs in to shut this...

It wont be left in but 2 months and 3k miles. I do some very severe driving so i stick to 3k syn i got on rebate.

It was regular mobil 1. I had a opened jug of pennzoil for top up i thought i would help finish it off.

I mixed m1 and pp both 10w30 today. 5 qts of m1 and 1 qt of platinum. Did i make a mistake? Im sure the base oils should be similar.
