I have several different flavors of ratcheting wrenches but i mostly use my quinn 8mm and 10mm and the toolrock 13,14,15mm swivels. I have the nice icon set and a set or few of gearwrench. The pittsburgh set ive had 2 bad sets out of the box and gave up.

I keep a 6 or 8 inch adjustable in each area of the garage. Then again im constantly installing and uninstalling o2 sensors and my portable widebands for tuning. When you have 5 laying around within arms reach they get used for lots of things, battery cable ends, brake pins, any activity that...

Wix was my go to add for free shipping item but it seems they dont carry the ones i use any more. They have some fram defense in the same flavor for 3.99 so that seems better for my beater vehicles.

Wondering who makes these. Seem to look similar to the premium guard filter listed on amazon. Already has a bad review and filtration doesnt seem great...

Also snagged one of these slightly under msrp. Dont have a use for it exactly. It does look nice in the toolbox.

Managed to haggle with the seller and got this for under 170 after tax. Not a complete steal but less than on the truck or website. I favor these bent spark plug ratchets for usual maintenance, brakes, oil changes, etc. I have a couple jcpenny(sk) and champion ones that see a lot of use.

My mustang dyno uses sae fasteners. Sometimes that 9/16 will fit better than the 14mm especially on cheap chinese bolts.

Love the red hard handles. I think the snapon is on the list. Just purchased some more goodies for the dyno so may be on hold on the tool buying.

If only there was a good hard handled ratchet besides the snap on. Ive got some time before i start my purchase so ill check out some of the recommended. May go with no grip at all since they always seem to get torn and scuffed

I have a shop and do a little wrenching. So far i have had back luck with ratchets. The best luck ive had was with pittsburgh 72 tooth count. Ive managed to break one here and there and made the mistake of upgrading a couple to the icon which i have had trouble with the selector locking up and...

Those can be handy. I have a set, feel a little cheap and flimsy. Who cares though with the warranty.

My old dewalt had the detent pin. Easiest removal of any type of anvil. It did not have a release button, just pull off. Hog rings are a pain with certain brands of sockets and eventually fall off. Hog rings do not seem to play well with harbor freight sockets from my experience.

The ball is similar to what is on a ratchet. Detent pin is superior in my opinion. I hate hog ring anvils.

To add to the discussion i just needed a cheap vise to hold things for the die grinder and do minor work. A US flag made in china is in my opinion a disgrace. I like USA built tools as much as the next guy but i wont have a chinese flag hanging in the shop.
