M1 ESP 5W30, when did it lose dexos2?

    - "Same"? Obviously you feel extremely certain . . . :ROFLMAO: PAO? Little to none. MSDS says UP TO 15 percent. Add pack? I strongly doubt it's the "same", but I'm no expert - unlike to you. However, we're still talking about the use in a Mk7 Golf R what requires VW 502 00 and/or VW 504 00. .

M1 ESP 5W30, when did it lose dexos2?

    M1 ESP P 5W-30. Different brew. Different approvals. M1 ESP without 'P' but with VW 504 00, MB 229.51&52, BMW LL-04 will remain. .

2017 Porsche Panamera 4. Factory 0w-20 too thin for southwest?

I'd consider 214°F as eminently 'cool'. Yes, you're ok with C20 in particular your engine oil temp doesn't exceed say 240-250°F or so. - if Porsche recommends C20 (0W-20, virtually same as VW 508 00/509 00) you're entirely ok with it - I'd almost bet Porsche also allows for Porsche C30...

    anti seize on spark plugs

Oh, I think you do. 'A little of anti-seize' won't be 'vaporized', but it probably partially congest your catalyst with its tiny fine pores. Not really desirable. Diminished flow, diminished power and increased fuel consumption. .

Has anybody removed there 'splash shield' aka 'belly pan' permanently

Removing bloody nine screws are a PITA to you? Actually? I retrofitted 'splash shields' to several cars. Why? The engine bay will remain noticeably cleaner, so I bet belt(s) and generator will live longer, lower drag, less noise. Why not? Just to save to remove nine screws? .

2018 tuned/tracked VW Golf Sportwagen 104K/4K mid-OCI checkup after 3x track days HPL Euro 5W40

. Yes, the cowling/lower windshield is a high pressure area. For this reason the cabin inlet is sitting in this place. And that's what I tell for more than 15 years. Leave that rubber seal alone. .

2.5 VW 5 cylinder in VW GTI race car.

Not for the GTI. - Mk.5 Rabbit (Golf) >> naturally aspitated 2.5 inline 5 (manual or slush box) - Mk.5 GTI >> 2.0 TFSI (EA113 and from 2008 up EA888 1G); manual or DSG NA markets only. .

Decision time - what anti seize for spark plugs in Aluminum Honda engine?

. Granted, I used to use some tiny bit of anti-seize in the past. My old Porsche 930 is a different question, just because it's tech from roughly five decades ago. However I don't use it any longer with my own newer cars. Just two of the reasons to me: BMW TIS for Mini R50/R53 and R55, R56ff...

2.5 VW 5 cylinder in VW GTI race car.

Two and a half cylinders? Seriously, which 5-cylinder? NA (Golf Mk.5 and Jetta) or TFSI (RS3 8P/8V and TT-RS 8J/8S)? On a side note, VW offered Golf GTI Mk.4 with 10 valve and 20 valve 2.3 VR5 engines next to 1.8T versions for European markets. .

    Mobil 1 ESP X4 0W-40

Only Mobil knows, we're doomed to speculate. Basically a 0W-40 will need thinner base oils and a significantly more amount of VI improvers over some similar quality 5W-30. Mobil's decision. For some reason XOM decided for 0W-40 instead of 5W-40 for their ESP offerings. Basically yes. This...

    Mobil 1 ESP X4 0W-40

Most probably no gain at all using M1 ESP X4 0W-40 (Porsche C40 & VW 511 00 like M1 ESP X3) over running common VW 504 00/C30 just like M1 ESP 5W-30 for the vast majority of engines. Marginally higher viscosity at 100°C, marginally higher HTHS (when Virgin-like only!), but at the same time also...

Oil for 2.0 TDI BKP Engine

. Skoda - same poor wordings like VW's manuals. Maybe just because from 2007/2018. VW adjusted VW 504 00 requirements several times in recent years and most recently in 2022. Like mentioned VW 504 00 use to come along with MB 229.51 and 229.52. DPF equipped 1.9 TDI engines don't came with...
