So the previous USA Subaru blue filters with the logo on the body were made by Fram and the current ones are made by Champ.

Yes them older blue USA Subaru filters were indeed Fram. Mr. Subaru compared them to the black OEM Japanese Subaru filters. I remember to stay clear of them OCOD’s rediguised in blue 😂

These had identical plastic cores too. I wish I had a flashlight with me at the time for some better pics inside.

I was hoping to open it and find the black Tokyo Roki Japanese made filter. I’d definitely run the ST. Near 1/2 price and silicone ADV

I was at Walmart today and saw a Subaru oil filter on the shelf for the first time. I opened it up and said hmmm this looks very familiar! I pulled a SuperTech MP7317 off the shelf and compared them. I knew it! 😂 C’mon now Subaru! We can get the better ST MP for almost 1/2 the price!!

Are you near any Oreilly’s Autoparts? My favorite filter at the moment is their MicroGard Select. Very nice quality for $11.

I just changed our 2022 Crosstrek’s oil recently. 500 mi. so far on the M1 0w30 ESP and I like it! Seems to be quieter than the previous 0w20’s and M1 AFE. Also went with a MicroGard Select filter this time.

Our 2022 Crosstrek has been on 0w20 for the past 6 OCI’s. 7th OC I switched to 0w30 Mobil1 AFE and didn’t really notice anything different. On the 8th OC I just did with 0w30 Mobil1 ESP and a MicroGard Select OF from Oreilly’s. It seems a little quieter. Idk maybe just in my head lol!

So is this PP Euro LX similar to M1 Euro ESP? Both better than M1 AFE??
