    New dishwasher on order...

we've had our Bosch dishwasher for about 14 years. It has the hidden controls and shines a little red dot of light on the ground to let you know when it's running. The thing is absolutely silent and has performed flawlessly since new. I'd get another one in a heartbeat! Enjoy your new dishwasher.

    Leases?

as others have said, leasing is the way to go if you always want to drive a new car every few years. If you buy (finance) and trade every few years you will be in much worse shape than if you lease. Also leasing a current year vehicle was always cheaper than leasing a leftover model. Cheapest...

    Anyone riding?

rode yesterday, finally hit high 60's or low 70's. Car traffic was few and far between..it was awesome. I'll be riding a lot more as soon as weather warms up...it's been a cold, gray, windy and rainy spring around here. Riding is one sure way to lift the spirits.

    Clover Overseeding.

clover used to be a regular addition to lawn seed mixes many years ago. Then at some point it was determined to be a weed and the chemical companies could help you kill it. Clover fixes nitrogen out of the air and into the ground so it is beneficial if you don't mind the look. I think clover is...

    Any Scooter Riders?

I have both a scooter and bike...ride the bike much more but there are times when the scoot is perfect...better wind protection and actually has storage for making beer runs! I also give my girls rides on the scooter. I wouldn't want to put them on the back of a sport bike.

in the scooter pic...at least you'd be protected in a crash...by the, um, airbags?

    Soil @ 43°F (6°C): Deploy Crabgrass Preventer or wait to 50 (10)?

yeah, way too early in the Midwest. Per the MSU site, application when soil temps are between 50-55 is ideal but real crabgrass germination doesn't really start until soil temp is between 60-70. Typically the forsythia blooming is a good indicator of proper soil temps and timing. If you're...

    2018 + Honda Goldwing

I agree that the new Wing is a good looking bike! While I'm (hopefully) a little younger than the target audience.. and I ride a small sportbike..I am very intrigued by the new Goldwing. As far as reduced storage capacity, I'm sure the aftermarket will provide plenty of options for more storage.

    4runner oil level.

just a thought...but when you drain your oil you don't get it all out...and if you're always adding the full 6.6 liters the manual says you are adding to the overfilled amount at each oil change. Why not try draining oil at next change and not adding the full 6.6..just add enough to reach the...

toro super recycler with b&s engine HomeDepot

not sure about the trouble with the personal pace drive system...my rear drive recycler with personal pace and tecumseh motor is going on 15 years old and 600 hours of use and it has been flawless...nothing wrong other than the wheels getting a little wobbly and a spot or 2 of rust starting to...

Clay bar then TW ICE seal n shine?

you can always do a wipe down of the car with isopropyl alcohol after claying...it probably takes a whole 5 minutes to do an entire car...very easy and good way to remove residues.

    Speed Clay or Clay Bar

tried the Mothers Speed clay for the first time this summer on a relatives very neglected, never garaged or washed, daily driver. It was fantastic. I used the soapy wash water as a lube and it went multiple times faster than it would have using traditional clay. There's something to be said for...

    carvana black friday purchase.

sounds like the OP had a good experience and found the right car. As a former guy from the 'car business' I always want to stress that a trade allowance is simply the combination of what your car is worth (wholesale, to the dealer) plus the discount off the car you're buying. Your trade will be...

    Ariens 36" snowblower

Look up Donyboy73 vids on youtube, he has a lot of stuff on snowblowers. Could be the rubber drive disc binding up on it's shaft. As others said, put the blower in the service position and take off the belly pan. The issue should be easily identifiable.

Toro snowblower issue - what to look for?

I grew up with one of those little Toro 2 strokes..great little blowers! A few years ago I bought 2 rough ones and combined them into 1 good machine. Gave that one away but wanted to replace with another 2 stroke so found a nice, lightly used Toro CCR 2450 with the RTek (Lawnboy Duraforce?) ...

    Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic

pre ordered a bottle and received it a week or 2 ago. Used it on my Caravan and on the side and rear glass (can't bring myself to try it on the windshield). Looks pretty good but the paint was already in great shape so we'll see how well it lasts over the next 4-5 months, through winter.

Winter tires for Nissan Rogue 2019

I run Blizzaks on my 12 yr old Subaru...and General Altimax Artics on my Caravan. Blizzaks seem better but hard to compare 2 different vehicles. Generals were a very cost competitive option when I bought them 5 years ago and work well.
