    New snow tires!

it's typical to go to a minus 1 when doing winter tires..down an inch in wheel diameter, narrower width and up in aspect ratio to give you the same circumference. Did this on my Subaru but my Caravan wouldn't allow a smaller diameter wheel due to the larger caliper and disc. Side benefit to a...

How exactly do you install this key drop?

you're missing the actual part for the key drop. The part pictured is for the envelopes to put your keys in and to write on, giving your name, number, etc. That is typically mounted on the wall near the door and the key drop will be separate. The shop I use has a similar envelope box mounted...

What's the best courier vehicle that's not a prius for no more than 20k?

if you're going to 'destroy' (and I mean to use it up, depreciate it quickly) a car by using it for delivery service I would absolutely start with a used car..one that has already taken its first big depreciation as you will depreciate a new vehicle faster than you can imagine. If you're...

    3 step paint correction

polishing a car a couple of times won't remove your clear coat...but yes, the very act of polishing paint means removing some of the material to level it out. Your swirl marks won't just 'come back' after a certain period of time. Swirl marks are minute scratches in the paint due to improper...

    Attempting to swap the Jetta...

unfortunately the time to reject a car based on paint flaws is at delivery. Once you take delivery (accept the car) it is yours. Not to say they won't repaint something for you but if you don't want it painted there's not much else you can do. I agree that is an ugly mark in the paint. It is...

    Attempting to swap the Jetta...

leave the factory paint..learn to live with it. You're unlikely to get a replacement car and you will be less happy with a repaint than with the factory paint. If you think think the factory spec in the paint bothers you, wait til you get a respray with paint boogers, dust specs, orange peel and...

Do you wear a seatbelt when riding in the BACKSEAT of a car?

the only time I ride in a back seat is when I take (or used to take) an Uber. Heck yeah I wear a seatbelt in the back! Crazy not to.

mower revs going up and down

if it's running fine I wouldn't worry about it but that surging is typically from a dirty carb. Those briggs are easy to clean and rebuild kits are cheap for them. Plenty of videos online showing how to clean them. Donyboy73 has a few that I know of.

You know your getting older on that bike

yep, tight left turns are way easier than tight right ones (for us right handers). I think it starts that way as a kid riding bikes.

    Oil Change Dillema

I get it. I have a company car (that I intend on buying when I get a new company car). Our leasing company pays for 7500 mile oil changes but there's no way I want to let it go that long so I do exactly what you're proposing...I change the oil myself at ~3750 miles and take it in for the regular...

New vehicles with a 4 speed transmission?

geez...I had a Journey as a company car around 2010? 4 cyl and 4 spd auto....SLOWEST car I've driven since the original 1982(?) Chevy Cavalier with auto and carb'd engine. Journey was a hazard to drive...couldn't get up to speed on the Interstate on ramp fast enough to get out of harms way. I...

Can I use collinite after turtle wax ceramic?

Agree. ceramic coating always goes on first, topped with whatever you want. You may find it's not necessary to top the TW ceramic coating. I applied it by itself a few months back and the shine, gloss and beading are fantastic.

    Bought my first bike tonight!

Minnesota motorcycles (and convertibles) are the best! Ridden for maybe 1/3 of the year and put away the rest of the year. You can can find some really nice older vehicles there.
