    Interesting Find in Dads Shop

Spent some time with Dad this weekend. Now that he is retired he has decided to sell the building he ran his business from for the last 50 years so we have been going through everything. Thought someone might find this interesting.

    Todays Integra Maintenance

Took the time today to install new valve stem seals and new upgraded lost motion assemblies from Honda. I included a comparison pic of the new and old lost motion assemblies

    Swollen/Enlarged Lug Nuts?

I ran into this problem literally every time I had to remove a wheel on a Lincoln LS when I was working as a tech at a Ford Dealership.

What mileage on a vehicle starts making you nervous?

I had a 94 Accord 5 speed that I sold back in 2010 to a neighbor to use as a commuter car. It had about 315k miles at that point and I occasionally still see it around town with the same guy still driving it. I did do the timing belt and water pump as well as a couple small things when I bought it.

Long line at the air pump

Which portable pump are you guys using? I was checking some out on amazon and there were a lot of reviews that weren't so great.

Motorcycle crash : Tail of the dragon

Unfortunately there is a big problem with cars and bikes both cutting corners that leads to a lot of head on accidents. I used to drive up there almost each weekend with a small group but haven't been in years because of how bad it has become.

Skunk but not the smelly one

I don't understand why you get so much hate on here. I guess people think you're wasting your money but its your money to do as you please. I've seen some cars that look (in my opinion) tastelessly modified. It would never stop me from talking with that person though and possibly having a car...

    SR20DET Oil Recommendation

I owned a 92 240 with an SR swap around the same power output as yours for several years. I used redline 10w30 back when Advance Auto was selling it after I couldn't get the redline easily I switched to Mobil 1 0w40 and never had any issues. If I had the car today considering I never did any...

1992 Accord. Timing belt and timing (off a tooth?)

Well the distributor will only fit into to camshaft one way it has an offset notch to make sure of it. I could see the possibility of the cam gear being a tooth off when the belt was installed effectively advancing or retarding the timing depending on which way the cam turned. Its easy to tell...

1992 Accord. Timing belt and timing (off a tooth?)

Still thinking but it was too late to edit my last post. You could remove the inspection plug so you can see the timing marks on the flywheel bring cyl 1 to top dead center then pull the valve cover to see if the cam is in the proper position.

    Some co workers amaze me

I haven't had a decent car conversation with a co-worker in a long time since I don't work in the shop environment anymore. While checking out the auto section at Wal-Mart yesterday I was informed by a helpful fellow to always make sure to ask what type of oil is put into my car. He explained...
