Insurance companies refusing polices for Hyundai and Kia vehicles in some areas

Yes, my wife's '16 CRV does that, but it uses the keyless fob tech. Aren't the cars being stolen use the older KEY with fob tech? Both my Xterra and 4Runner has that and I never get an alert of low battery...it either gets flaky or just stops working at all. So, on 'newer' cars with the KEY and...

Insurance companies refusing polices for Hyundai and Kia vehicles in some areas

Wait, so what happens if your fob goes out (dead battery) after you lock it with the fob...and you don't have a spare (if buying used, you may or may not get two sets of keys/fobs)...tow truck to the dealer?

    Family’s 2017 Hyundai Tucson grenades

From my experience on a previous vehicle ('08 Kia Sorento), I would have to agree with this somewhat. If you look under a 1/1.5 gen Sorento, you'd swear you were looking under a Toyota truck/suv (4Runner)...especially, the rear axle. Like the Toyota's the Sorento had a 3rd member type...

Is it worth having a third car as a 'beater'?

You said 'beater'...definite yes, if you going to be a DIYer or learn to be one. A 'beater' vehicle can be a great learning platform. And having a beater to work on/tinker with affords you screw ups and mistakes that you can learn from with out leaving you stranded. Nothing like punching a hole...

5k or 1 year, which ever comes first (I don't drive the 4Runner that much).... OEM filter and whatever synthetic you (the engine) likes... I also follow the same routine on my Nissan and Honda...OLM be ****ed.

    Best engine in 2023?

Engine, not motor...what's the difference...question for the ages. Does an engine involve heat? Then what about an outboard motor (boat)? And why is it called Motor City instead of Engine City???

And I wonder if it will have an expiration date along with the manufacturing date? Can you keep it fresh longer by refrigeration??? https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a42444419/goodyear-sustainable-tire/ Someone will have to make a tire shine formulated with hot sauce to keep the mice away...

    Good bye and hello...

Compared to 'modern' trucks...yeah, they do. But the believe it or not, the mileage is about the same as the Sorento...remember, the Sorento I had was a 'truck' based SUV...full frame, solid rear axle, 4wd. But if you can stay off the gas pedal, it is not that bad. The Xterra is roomier and has...

    Chivalry or overprotective?

I once heard a story for the guys about door locks... This is before keyless entry and remote controlled door locks. On a night out...you walk your date to the car. You unlock the door and open it for her. You wait until she is seated and then you close the door. In most cases, as you are...
