    Fram Ultra Air Filter (4309)

I though the Ultra air filter line was new? Or are you saying they have had all these changes since coming out?

Post your latest K&N (or similar) filter cleaning

Just uninstalled this one, it came on the car when I purchased it. Do you think its savable? I was iffy and just replaced it with a Fram Ultra, until I can figure out if I want to continue using it or not.

    Fram Ultra Air Filter (4309)

Just installed a Fram ultra air filter in my Infiniti. From the looks of it, it looks like a good filter. Not much to report on it so far, I will periodically post up photos of it to see how it fairs over 40k miles or 4 years. The car doesn't get driven a lot, so it'll probably be 4 years before...

    Wiper Blades

I've had good luck with both of them brands mentioned. Although, for some odd reason I seem to lean towards the Trico; so, personally that is what I would go with. Good Luck!

Possible basic, stupid question about oil filters but would like to know

So, because it moves in 5C increments, its moved up or down a 5 interval in the winter rating. That makes sense. Thanks for the info, I never knew that.

There is nothing wrong with posting information in Celsius. 3/4 of the world reads its temp in Celsius, we are in the minority of reading our temp in Fahrenheit.

    isn't that why they are in multiples of 5? 0,5,10,15,20? 5x3=15? 15W is 3x a thick at 5W?

Maxima VQ 3.5L to M1 Euro 0w40, any concern about the cats?

I will sacrifice a few MPG’s for a well running engine. Glad you are doing well with the 0w40, I know my G35 likes it.

    Kirkland Signature Synthetic Oil

I was just noticing this in my Honda. I am aware that my car burns oil and when I started using the Kirklands signature, my consumption went from 1- 1.5 quarts in 5k miles to now, I have burned two quarts of oil in roughly 3k miles. I solely use the car for going around town and to Doordash.

Best OCI to make it to 200k to 300k.

I drive for Doordash and my Honda has ~243k miles and I do 5k OCI. Like you know, It is a lot of start and stop and idling, my oil typically has a strong fuel smell to it. I run a Purolator One oil filter fo 10k miles and Costco oil for 5k miles.

    Mobil1 Filter Design Change

Perhaps you need to reread post #1 of the thread. We are commenting on the changes in manufacture, not about the quality of the filter. Post #23, is the first one commenting on the performance (quality) of the filter. If you fail to see that, I am done with this conversation. Good Day.
