Can a shade tree mechanic (myself) change the spark plugs on a 1998 (2nd gen.)Chrysler minivan V-6 engine? I ask since its a transverse engine, with one bank of plugs facing toward the back, and seemingly fairly inaccessible. Or is it better to just go to a mechanic for this ? Any advice, and...

The worst is when we get a cold snap below freezing for a long time and the car is all crusted up with salt. Too cold to wash it at home or carwash, and the salt just stays on there. Can't stand the sight of it and what it does to the car. No garage, so can't warm it up enough to wash the salt...

Maybe a weird question, but was wondering if using a non-stick cooking spray such as "smart balance" or "pam" sprayed on lower panel areas of vehicles (or undercarriage) would help ward off road salt we get from winter roads ? Would it perhaps cause it (salt)not to stick to the treated areas...

The owners manual says to use an "ethylene-glycol basis coolant." Please recommend a coolant for this engine. I am new to this car.(and this forum). I also find the coolant selections in autoparts stores a bit confusing these days. Thanks for any suggestions.
