I kinda wonder if this is really true, that the cab MUST be pulled. I have seen people lift the cab to swap the exhaust manifolds on a 3.5L Ecoboost but you can also just go through the wheel wells. Ive done mine and the wheel wells worked perfectly fine.

Whats the cost of an XL crew cab F150 with a 2.7 or 3.5? I bet its +/- $1000 of that. Edit: I checked for myself. A 2.7L Supercrew XL 2x4 with literally no options is $40,535. A 3.5L is $41935. I know the SR is detuned but its still more powerful than a 2.7 EB.

I dont really think its a new engine and they already have a 4 cylinder version. I believe its essentially the 2.0L turbo in the Wrangler with an extra two cylinders tacked on. The 2.0 is the GME T4 and this will be the GME T6

I test drove a Taco in 2017, not sure if it was a 17 or 18 MY. Either way is basically the same truck they sell now. The motor SUCKS. It wouldnt shift out of 5th gear because of a headwind and is just gutless below 3500. And that was the V6. For that reason alone I would never buy one.

On the 2015+ trucks it can usually be solved by a mishimoto radiator, but for the 11-14 truck the radiator is simply too small. They cant make them any wider or taller, just thicker, so its a diminishing return.
