    Dangerous times

A few days ago an American warship was engaged in training exercises with our NATO allies. Russian fighter jets from airbases in the Kaliningrad Oblast flew extremely close to our naval vessel, a very dangerous maneuver. Serious business, these Russians. What is next? Russian submarines...

    Supertech 5W-20 (Conventional)

SuperTech oil is a good choice for your old beater (any oil is better than no oil) but never use it in something new or nice, or it will become a beater.

    What are we paying for?

Industry standards are so low, I refuse to buy any product or service that meets industry standards. Industry sets the standards, so why would they set them any higher than the absolute minimum? BITOG should set the standard for motor oil!

I loved the front grill guards on the Mad Max vehicles, great place to tie two guys to and haul around the wastelands looking for oil and gasoline.

    What are we paying for?

you are paying to sponsor a NASCAR team.... I choose oil by how the bottle color would look in my garage, or if it matches the color of my car. That criteria is more important than a brand name. No difference in oils or cars.....it gets worn out, you dump it and buy another one.

Family Heirlooms taken from other Family members

If you cannot prove your Grandfather promised these items to you, and to only you, your cousin now owns them. If your Grandfather was forgetful, he may have also promised them to your cousin and other family members. Any witness that he promised them to you? That is why having a will is so...

    Iron skillet

Cast iron makes the best cooking skillets and motor blocks! My small cast iron skillet has a glaze that will make a fried egg slide around like a hockey puck on ice. Seasoned it with Mobil 1 when new, never changed the oil again ( a joke, do not really do that! )

    gas water heater question

It should take no more than an hour. If it is a old water heater and/or you have hard water, sediment in the tank bottom is like an insulator. Has the tank been drained once a year to flush the sediment? If it has never been flushed, the drain valve will be clogged. If it is, you may be able to...
