Quick update y'all! So I called the dealership today, and supposedly, upon seeing my Pathfinder arriving on a flatbed, the tech who did my CVT service walked out and quit on the spot. The master tech is out until Monday for some medical reasons, so it is sitting in the shop until Monday...

Sounds like when they did the CVT service they underfilled it. To quote the guy at the first shop, when the Nissan dealer asked them what codes they found and if it had enough fluid, "it had some fluid in it".

It's got jutter codes. The CVT is done for.

Just paid for the diagnostic at the first shop, the Nissan dealer has sent out a tow truck to come grab it so their master tech can look at it and find out what went wrong.

Sounds like it is under warranty still, the Nissan dealership is now in contact with the shop it is at currently so I am now in a 3-way game of phone-tag getting this figured out.

I believe it is under warranty I'm going to be calling them when they open in an hour and find out. If so then it's getting towed from the shop it's at now to there.

Just got the call from the shop it got towed to. Banging noise was coming from the transmission, CVT jutter code when they hooked it to their scan tool. Ugh.

I ran the built-in memtest in the BIOS and Memtest86+ both ran flawlessly. The motherboard in this PC only has two RAM slots but I suppose I could remove one of the sticks and see if anything changes...

I checked all the settings, it's set to never go asleep it's supposed to be always on. I'll try turning it on and see if it still freezes up overnight or when I'm at work. Since I've already replaced everything else short of the motherboard and processor, if it continues I'll go ahead and throw...

I've benchmarked it and stress tested it like 8 times on max settings and it worked just fine. Not aware of it having any built in utilities but I'll check it out

Only at idle, and its usually at some time overnight or very rarely during the day while I'm at work. Not set for sleep mode at all.

Luckily unlike most stereotypical nissan owners I maintain mine and change the T case fluid fairly often. Here's what gets me though. At the beginning the noise was CLEARLY coming from the BACK END, now it's 100% up front

Caliper bolts all present and secure. Everything at the moment is pointing towards a binding CV joint however none of the boots are torn. Visually, nothing looks wrong at all.

Here is a video I got of the noise the other day, before it got way worse to the point it is now. At the time this video was taken it was just making the noise, the front end wasnt binding up and causing lurching.
