Question for other CVT Pathfinder Platinum owners

I've questioned it, given the general reputation of this particular dealership. There's a trans temp sensor from the factory (or at least I believe so, there's something that reports as trans temp from the ECU.) I have the Torque app and CVTz50, and in both apps I have been able to watch my CVT...

Question for other CVT Pathfinder Platinum owners

I'll definitely look into the amsoil CVT fluid because I have a coworker who is also an amsoil dealer

Question for other CVT Pathfinder Platinum owners

CVT #1 never had the fluid changed and it failed at 87K. The previous owners traded it in because they didn't want to pay to replace it, so I bought it right after CVT #2 got installed. CVT #2 was installed at 87K. I got the fluid changed at the local Nissan dealer for the first time at 110K...

Question for other CVT Pathfinder Platinum owners

My 2014 Pathfinder just got its 3rd CVT at 114K miles. The original lasted 87K miles, the second one lasted about 27K miles. The third one has about 500 miles on it so far. Being a Platinum, it has a transmission cooler. I was wanting to know if there's any other Platinum CVT Pathfinder owners...

Thumping/clunking from rear end area what could it be?

I showed the service manager and I also reached out to Nissan Consumer Affairs and they opened a case about it. I left reviews with the picture on all local FB review and buy/sell pages as well as Google.

Thumping/clunking from rear end area what could it be?

Got it back yesterday, it was finished Monday but due to my work schedule I couldn't get it until Thursday. New CVT is in, it drives like a dream, however this will also be the last time I ever visit this dealership... won't let them touch my lawnmower after this! Apparently the battery had to...

Thumping/clunking from rear end area what could it be?

Sounds like I may be getting Big Bertha back today. The new transmission showed up Wednesday and the original had already been removed on Tuesday. For now, time to do some black Friday shopping in their loaner car lol

Thumping/clunking from rear end area what could it be?

They should have just changed the CVT back in July when it had a P17F0 like I told them to... Got the call today, it scanned in as a P17F4, Protective is fully covering it, new CVT has been ordered and it should be done sometime this week. Woohoo! I've now completed the drivetrain lol

Thumping/clunking from rear end area what could it be?

The current CVT is already #2, it was replaced after the previous owners traded it in at 87K when it failed. I got the fluid serviced super early at 110K. And it failed at 114K.

Thumping/clunking from rear end area what could it be?

Since the CVT replacement is free I'm going to get that done and hopefully get a few more years out of it. Honestly, I love my Pathfinder and until July of this year when everything started it's been trouble free. Luckily while it's in the shop I have other vehicles at my disposal to use.

Thumping/clunking from rear end area what could it be?

Juddering up an 11% grade was NOT fun either... I did not like the way it felt, at all

Thumping/clunking from rear end area what could it be?

Thank God for the lifetime powertrain...time to cash in on my free CVT replacement. Started juddering like a mofo driving home from work tonight. Active P17F0 code so getting it covered will be a slam dunk.

What are you doing right now?

Just got off a 12 hour night shift. Had a beer, currently eating some chips and salsa, then laying down until noon or so.

Thumping/clunking from rear end area what could it be?

Another quick update. I've driven about 1,000 miles since all this went down, the judder code still has not returned and it's still driving better than it did the day I bought it. Question though, since the rear end and transfer case are both brand new, do those have "break in metals" and...

Do you have a favorite fuel?

I've always wanted one of the giant dinosaurs for a lawn ornament. Lol.

Do you have a favorite fuel?

When I lived in Columbus Ohio, I always just got the cheapest 87 from the sketchiest corner store in town, most often the M&S Pizza on Georgesville Rd because they were almost 20-30 cents cheaper than anywhere else. I also frequented Cleveland as I have a lot of family there, and basically...

    Rislone additives

I've used Rislone 710 in my CR-V and the Pathfinder. Not for any particular reason besides the fact I just happened to have some old cans of it on hand already and I figured I'd use it instead of throwing it out. Didn't notice any difference while using it and no ill effects after the fact.

    Aftermarket Radios

Kenwood eXcelon series. I really miss the KDC-X303 I had in my CR-V. I hate that my Pathfinder is impossible to install an aftermarket HU in.
