Are power torque (O'Reilly) torx bits impact rated?

No. Might work once but it'll break pretty quick speaking from experience.

Another Moab and out west trip!

Thanks! Hells Revenge, so lions back is somewhere in the background! I had always wanted to get that shot, and then when it came time to get it lined up I just looked over the hood and was in awe. Luckily I had a spotter standing there guiding me! It is a strong community for sure. Thanks...

Another Moab and out west trip!

Did another out west trip this fall - was in Moab and Colorado. The JL and the new mods since last time in Moab did great (dynatrac endurosport lift, steel front bumper/winch, evo engine/exhaust loop skid). In Moab, we hired Curtis from Dan Mick for our trail guide on Hell's Revenge. The JL did...

Seems like a lot of 1/2" sockets are 12-point, why?

Probably depends on the quality of the 12 pt- something with flank drive is probably better.

Seems like a lot of 1/2" sockets are 12-point, why?

Can use 12 pt sockets on more fastener types too, like a 4 point or an etorx.

Rental Review: 2024 GMC Terrain SLT

That new GM stalk design should be a little bigger than a normal wiper stalk. IDK. I agree with you that it's better than buttons or dials - I think my big issue with the terrain wasn't the buttons, but just a bad location. At least till you're used to it, I always had to look down. Where they...

Rental Review: 2024 GMC Terrain SLT

1.5L turbo, think it's the only option on these.

Rental Review: 2024 GMC Terrain SLT

I think it's just in a weird spot - I'd prefer a column shifter or even a knob. It's hard when you have go drive to reverse quick like straightening out in a parking spot. I think it's harder on the vehicle too because you're not stopping in neutral to let it roll. Plus the manual shift buttons...

Rental Review: 2024 GMC Terrain SLT

Thought I'd do another rental review - got a 2024 GMC Terrain SLT AWD for a rental this week. I also had a 2024 Equinox LT a couple months ago for a rental, and since they're the same basic vehicle, I can compare them a bit, as well as comparing both to the Mazda CX5 I had last week. Didn't have...

LOL! It got a fresh oil change before I got it, I noticed the new sticker!

    Jeep Gladiator Rental

They only said the Colorado won because it's cheap, but the Gladiator performed the best. For off road, you can't beat solid axles for articulation.

Rental Review: 2023 Mazda CX5 Premium Plus 2.5L

I'm used to the sport mode in the X3 where it makes it a whole different vehicle - tried it in this and didn't notice a big difference other than holding gears longer. Not to say it was bad on power - but I'd put it in the same league as my Wrangler. Sufficient, but not fast. My wife's old 2.0...

Rental Review: 2023 Mazda CX5 Premium Plus 2.5L

I never noticed how popular they were till I had the rental one, but I definitely see the appeal!

    Jeep Gladiator Rental

Except off road...which is the point of an off-road truck...solid axles always win off road unless you're doing huge jumps which no production vehicle is meant for.

Rental Review: 2023 Mazda CX5 Premium Plus 2.5L

That's interesting, I'm having some back pain after driving it too. Normally don't get any.

Rental Review: 2023 Mazda CX5 Premium Plus 2.5L

LOL! I was actually thinking with some ATs it'd actually look pretty cool. It wouldn't look weird like they would on a BMW or Audi or Lexus.

Rental Review: 2023 Mazda CX5 Premium Plus 2.5L

Got this as a rental - normally don't write these up but I liked this one so thought I would. It's a 2023 with 53k miles (and it shows). I think it's the Premium Plus trim - has leather, heated/cooled front seats, heated rear seats, sunroof, HUD, adaptive cruise. Only option it doesn't have is...
