make sure your tires are properly inflated, low or over loaded tires can also run warm/hot may contribute to the heating ,,,good point to have correct bearing tension or pre-load, check brakes for dragging , bearings do often just run hot under a continuous load can be normal, temp gun is also...
noticeability less valve train noise, the performance of the engine still the same as 0w-20 surprisingly, and mpg is the same considering the outside air temp, and of course the oil is not smelling as much as gas, though not very scientific ,I do plan on a uoa this fall from Polaris labs.
both Valvoline EP and Castrol edge EP are very good oils,Castrol for the win when using longer OCI, and perhaps Valvoline for their add pac,,,just flip a coin on which one is better with a 5k change.
formulating a engine oil is like one size fits all, well not in many cases as the different specifics & types of engines, the condition of the engine, the climate it is operated in, and driving habits and on and on/ and of course the proper licenses, approvals, viscositys, cafe requirements etc...
Valvoline EP is a better oil, nice and quiet and very clean inside when I changed valve cover gasket on my last car, and to mention I also used Royal Purple and it too was good, used Mobil the first two changes and clattery, never using Mobil 1 again.
try Mystik J-t6 red high temp grease, it will work fine as you may want lithium complex grease, why nlgi 3,?,more than likely not needed ? ,,,or if you want, contact your local Schaeffer dealer if you feel you need #3 aluminum complex grease.
proper bearing preloading should be checked and set to spec ,, and if too hot temp you may be over packing them,is any excess grease being forced out of the seal lips? if so, try a little less grease in the cavity,
what are you using or need this grease for? please be more specific on your needs, we have used (or similar) Kluber brand grease at work on a 3000 hp Onan generator end bearings (contractor supplied ) and is very expensive, and certainly good,/ this grease can be viewed as more of a...
get good ortho-pedic type shoes/boots check with a specialist ,it helps me as I have a leg amputation and bad foot. I like a hiking boot designed for such issues.
