    Ice maker water line

OP probably has a tap in the incoming cold line If you read the 1st sentence in OP, he tighted the saddle... 2nd leak I suppose the tap corroded.... Regardless, taps suck

    Ice maker water line

Are both leaks on the LINE feeding the ice maker. Hard to read, but it sounds like you're leaking off the feed itself. Is it one of those Tap Valves. If so, cut it, replace it with the 1/2 T. Solder on a proper 5/8 OD - 1/4 Shutoff and call it a day

    GX160 Help

Need help with a GX160 honda engine - snowblower. When I purchased it, it fired up, maintained combustion except that the gas would leak out of the breather tube until empty... Sat in my garage for a good year and I've started working on it. Assuming bad needle, float as when I removed the...

Syn or Dino for New Snowblower

Picked up a new Ariens Pro for my pops. Whaddya say. Dino or syn. I can't recall what the ~spiel~ was but I've always used Dino in my lawnmower. Don't have a snowblower no more - I have a guy with a truck for that ;-)

    Aprox cost of roadforce balancing

I did say regional right. I don't hesitate when I go for my $200+ alignments....it is what it is, and my guys I frequent are worth it. Others are happy with the lifetime Firestone specials. I tend to go operator based. Some of my wheels alone are around 8K, with tars costing $350 a pop...

    PUE for N63 or 0W30

Do you notice a difference when alternating gas

Heh. I went out of way to to the same gas station last night just to get that extra PEP. Placebo or not. I could not put my finger to it. The car just felt like it gained a couple of horses last week, and the only thing I could account for, was the fillup at the gas station.

Do you notice a difference when alternating gas

Do you notice a difference when alternating gas

I use 2 stations in my area - Mobile and Aamaco. They both come out of the same refinery...... I went for a fillup at *BJ's Wholesale club*. Local price for premium is hovering 4.25 and BJ's (not local) to me is $3.59. Anyhow, there is a difference in PEP and I can't explain it. It's as if she...

The best protective film for paint?

No Body Moulding....so here are the #'s just FWIW. If it's a brand new car, a basic detail will probably run you $300-$350 This is important cause any imperfection will be visble under the film you put You're looking at minimum $1200-$1500 for any *professional* installer to install the film...

Buster - Just curious. What type of car.

The best protective film for paint?

Don't let anybody SELL you into the hype. All film is porus. Marketing will tell you otherwise. It's more noticable on a lighter colored car than darker. I use film for bumpers, rocker panels *if the car door has a body moulding line*, or full panels depending on the aerodynamics of the beast...

    Pennzoil Ultra Euro 5w-40 arrived

Just did a OCI and dumped out the PUE540 for a mix of very old stock GC + new bottles of GC (I had 4qts lying around, and finally picked up another 5 from AZ to complete a OCI) I have to say, there is something about GC in the N54. It's a tad smoother ....

    Foam cannons

Lubricity is KING for me. In the warmer months, I may do a prerinse, foam and then 2 bucket while the foam is there. Just due to how much sudz is clinging on the car already as opposed to the soap solution from bucket-mitt-paint, there is a considerably a noticable difference in lubricity added...

Low profile tires and bent rims

A sharp eye. Rolling on 315/35........this year. Decided not to swap winter tars. Made sure PSI is bumped a bit higher than normal. OK during morning, rushhour - as all the cars crawl when we hit stretches of pothole hotmess. Dangerous to drive at night as some roads are littered with them...
