Burning Out Batteries --- Going back to Wet Cell

Diagnosing a weird issue in the wife car......Regardless, I've got 2 High End AGM as paperweights..... Going back to flooded or just a *cheaper AGM*. Flooded has similar warranty, can be *topped* off with fluid, CCA and reserve is a smigen more than their AGM counterpart. Pricewise, I'm okay...

    Car wash mitts/sponges

JHZR2 - Couple of options...depending on budget. The Chenille *locks* microfiber mitt at most autojoints is fine for the lower panels - that's what I use for all lowers. It's safe/soft enough for the top - if you're not that picky... Sheepskin mitt is pretty good....u just need to wade...

    AGM Battery Replacement

I hear ya. For a daily driver that doesn't really care about discharge factor, wet cells IMO are the best bang for the buck IMO. $ for $. Deep Cycle, garage queens, shore-dual battery systems: AGM. Not all AGM's are the same though, and prices reflect that

    AGM Battery Replacement

I was speaking with Northstar just a month ago....re: BP Batteries. Re: Exide, I have no experience but I was talking to master distributor who carries Oddysey and Trojan as well....as he said for budget friendly, the Exides AGM's are worth a look

Odyssey or Northstar. For a more budget friendly battery, consider the Exide.

    Pro-Logix battery charger is awesome.

WRC - Did not speak to Ctek, but Noco advised during the post testing/during absorption, they cut to float during their resistence testing. OT, or on, but love to pick your brain. I have a JNC X ForceE Jump Back. This thing is a beast coming in at close to 40lbs. It has 2 batteries in the...

    Pro-Logix battery charger is awesome.

Off topic or on topic...but at the end of the day, I do like the Cteks/Nocos in terms of user ~usability~ whereas the latter may require more ~involvement~. In my world, it's more to keep the garage queens batteries in check , and the extra toy that I don't take out often. With that said, it...

    Pro-Logix battery charger is awesome.

Horses for courses, this thread with your posts, WRC has been a good gulp of 12V Wiki for me. Out of curiousity, I'm going to give Ctek and Noco a call tomorrow just to understand in clarity more in depth about their charge profile. Ctek spells alot of it out. I've called Noco in the past and...

    Pro-Logix battery charger is awesome.

WRC - If you're still following this thread...what's a good rule of thumb for a AGM if it's being used as a main only, daily driver to put a charger on it to top-equalize it off. Assuming the alt. already is giving the battery a long absorption charge....just not at the ideal voltage of 14.7...

    Feedback on Jump Start Packs?

I've got a honking big JNC...it weighs like 40+lbs and has 2 AGMS in the pack.. Back on topic. I have ~wondered~ how safe are the ~charging systems~ in these small lithium packs. Regardless, these little itty bitty jump packs may serve the need to just give enough boost to start a small engine...

    Pro-Logix battery charger is awesome.

There is a certain lack of ~controls~ I cannot achieve with my Cteks/Noco, which I knew buying into it..... I do want to get one higher amp charger in the stash just for those times where I need to recharge a deep cycled AGM. I'll mess around with my Noco some more but I'm not 100% confident if...
