Old Panasonic bike tires replaced with Continentals

And I thought the tight Contis were just me... I won't buy them anymore. I pretty much stick to Vittoria now.

    Push Instead of Pedal

Change the pedals to levers. Use only one leg at a time, rather than both legs with a constant full pedal rotation. Sounds like a great way to cut your power and speed right in half!

    Crush washer truth

On the Kia in my sig, I can get away with one reuse, the second reuse will leave drips all over my driveway. So I change every time. No need to remember when I last replaced it! I've always replace it on the Volvo, and the prior Volvo. I bought the kid a box of Dorman washers for the Ranger...

With the use case and OCI you propose, any Dexos1 licensed oil will be fine. Pick the one that lets you sleep at night.

Does the dmv not update on the weekend?

I just ordered a replacement registration for one of my cars, and renewed registrations on my 2 trailers. Did all 3 on-line on a weekend. In all three cases, the NY DMV immediately emailed me a printable PDF with a temporary registration, and the real one arrives in the mail 7-10 days later...

Rock Auto - Can't order Motorcraft Oil

Do you have a town or city sales tax at the delivery address? I know that affects some deliveries in Colorado. Don't know if that affects anything in Mississippi.

How many of you have made your " Final Arrangements " ?

A will is about the most important thing you can do for your loved ones. Don't wait until you are old to make a will. You never know if or when an accident or illness can take you. I'd argue that it's most important if you are young with dependents in the house... If you or your spouse were...

What Oil should I use for '87 Mercruiser 2.5L I/O

I'm pretty sure I've seen the Quicksilver/Mercruiser 25w40 at Canadian Tire. I source it from Walmart. It's a little pricier than the other choices, but I figure the $15/year extra is worth the peace of mind.

Wouldn't a manual transmission be better in city traffic?

I commuted through Philly on I676 and the Schuylkill expressway for 2 years in my manual 5-speed Sonoma back in the day. I was young then. I wouldn't want to do it now!

    Bizarre Experience At AAP

I would have a problem there... I nearly always forget to bring my reading glasses to the store, and often use my phone as a magnifying glass.

Is there a case for the gas/kerosene lantern in the age of LED lights?

I have an old liquid fuel Coleman lantern I use from time to time, and the Scout Troop I'm involved with has 2 propane Coleman lanterns that we use on every campout. As far as the Troop equipment is concerned... We cook on a pair of Coleman propane stoves, and therefore we always have a backup...

    Chevy inline 5 any good?

This is exactly what I did... Traded my 97 Sonoma 4.3 (5 speed manual) for the 2005 3.5 (4 speed automatic) crew cab Colorado. Both had 4x4. The Colorado was bigger, had more power, and my combined mileage increased from about 18 to about 20 mpg.

    Chevy inline 5 any good?

The 2010 will have the 3.7, I had the 3.5 in my 2005 Colorado. The change to the bigger displacement was to correct a head gasket issue that was known on the 3.5. Having said that, I drove mine to 205k miles, then sold it to my brother-in-law who beat on it for another 30k or so. The motor...
