Toyota Tacoma 2.7 4cyl motor oil leak

Hi - My son has a 2010 Tacoma 4X4, with a 2.7 4cyl motor, 165,000+ miles. It has a minor oil leak on the back of the engine that appears to be coming from the head gasket. It’s enough to wet the back of the engine below the head but not leave oil stains on the ground. No coolant in the oil...

    Battery voltage too low?

So I had my battery tested at a local garage. The results were: Replace Battery Voltage: 13.00V Measured: 472 CCA Rated: 650 CCA Temperature: 54'F Thoughts? I invested in a portable lithium battery jump starter. I think I'll keep running the battery for a while and see what happens..

Thanks for all the info. I’ve got the battery on a charger. I’ll see if that brings the resting voltage up. I’m measuring at approx 40-50 degrees F.

    Battery voltage too low?

Hi, I have a 2015 Toyota 4Runner still on its OE Panasonic battery. The vehicle starts fine, but I noticed the resting voltage at 12.2 - 12.3V. This seems low to me. I thought a fully charged battery should be in the 12.6-12.7 range ? I measure the battery after sitting overnight with two...

    Red Grease?

Hi - I recently bought a new utility trailer. When I popped off the rubber hub covers, I noticed they had grease fittings and were loaded with red grease. All the grease I have used in the past were a tan or black color. Does the red color signify anything? Should I keep using red grease ? Or...

    Toyota PS recommendations

Thanks for the advice on ATF options.. Thoughts on pumping out and filling the PS reservoir periodically? Waste of time or does the reservoir fluid actually cycle through the system? Thanks!

    Toyota PS recommendations

I own a 2015 Toyota 4Runner. The power steering fluid is a little low (and very dark). My owner's manual specifies "Automatic transmission fluid DEXTRON II or III". What do you guys recommend for this vehicle? Is there a better fluid than what Toyota specs? What do you use? Also, is pumping...

    2017 Audi Q3..What ATF?

Hi - I'm planning to start some periodic transmission drain and fills on my wife's U.S.spec 2017 Audi Q3. It just rolled over 50,000 miles. I'm hoping to run it for at least 200,000 trouble free miles… I'm 2+ hours from the nearest VW/Audi dealer and will be performing this myself. I'm...
