    Oil filter swap/exchange

Over the course of time I have owned many vehicles, most of them used, and have accumulated a few extra unused oil filters that are still in boxes or shrink wrap. I probably have a total of eight extra oil filters spread across seven different vehicles that I no longer own. I have tried selling...

Move over Florida! Iowa is ranked the best place to retire - while Alaska, New York and California come out worst

Looks like you've got some prettier spots to explore than I do at the moment. 👍🏼 I need to work on finding some trails for my Polaris.

Yeah, that's my franken-dino-brew jug for use in OPE only. 🧛‍♂️😉

Messy as all get out for me, but you get the idea. One benefit of the AMSOIL gallon containers is they nest nicely within milk crates whereas 5qt jugs do not. Waste oil containers are top right. Garage needs a re-org/sale again. Need to thin the herd. Because it might come up – I buy my milk...

How to safely store filters for use years from now?

Don't overbuy on filters. Let Wal-Mart be your storage cabinet. ...or.... Store all newly bought filters submersed completely in a dino-frankenbrew bath of fresh oil from oil bottle leftovers and keep them there until just four minutes before usage. Store said special-use Coleman cooler in the...

Dedicated rack I see. Nice. I have not moved past "milk crate stage", and I doubt that I ever will. Milk crates are Lego building blocks for adults.

    Looking for lawn edger

I found a straight stick commercial Husqvarna edger on Facebook marketplace for 20 bucks that looked like it had rarely been run. Bought it, fueled it, ran first pull. Literally. I use that on curves mostly and use my Ariens on the bigger straightaways. Truth is I only need the handheld but I...

    Oil + filter hoarders

I'm getting there! Pictures today probably – nothing much to get excited about. I have approximately three oil changes worth of goods for three vehicles plus all my OPE + ATV. I started the thread more to see the variety of fluids/brands owned per person than to see quantity hoarded. The only...

    Acronyms used at BITOG.

In case anyone cares, I have taken previous first version(s) of this acronym list compiled by Char Baby and wally6934, added all other acronyms I have seen on this thread, alpha sorted and de-duplicated, and corrected a few misspellings or definitions where I knew them and could find a reference...

    Oil + filter hoarders

That's quite an education you just gave me. Thank you. I don't find the cost of my new oil significant enough to warrant my time and labor on shipping used oil around, but maybe when I retire and have more time on my hands, I'll reconsider my position. However, that LiquiMoly is very good stuff.

    Oil + filter hoarders

I've heard of this and still don't understand exactly what is happening. So you buy their new oil and then return the waste oil asking for free new oil "under warranty" in return for only the cost of return shipping... and this company willingly goes along with this... and stays in business??
