The Bosch Premium is a pretty good filter. My Wal-Mart doesn't carry them yet or I would have some on hand. I have cut a couple of them apart and they are very well made. They have a thicker media than just about every filter I have cut open besides the fram xg.

Because it was spec'd for an oil with higher ZDDP levels and hdeo is the closest match.

If I was artem I would try hdeo in my next couple of fills, no matter which additive I used. Seems like its the only thing he hasnt tryed...

Its not the same as PP but it is a top notch product. I just picked up some my self and I am very pleased with the price.

I used to prefill my filters, but I cant really doit with my truck because its at an angle. Now I just rub a little new oil on the seal and call it good. Oil pressure jumps up quick and it doesn't even clatter on the dry start. No big deal.

I bet the heavens opened up and angles sang as you poured it in....at least thats how it goes for me anyway.
