The people who leave their a/c system on all year long have virtually zero issues with it.

Ran 5w20 in my 2005 4.6 Crown Vic for over 300K miles. No issues to report. Used zero oil between changes. I run 0w20 in my 16 Tahoe. The Leos who run Tahoe's in my neck of the woods [2015+] are running 0w20 with zero issues.

I have the 6L80 in my Tahoe. I do not wet nurse it. Have 116K miles and no issues to report. Change fluid [at the dealer only] around every 40K miles. My buddy also has the 6L80 and has no issues at 200K miles.

My 2016 Tahoe is a bit noisy. Been using 0w20 since day 1 [using only Mobil 1 and sometimes AC Delco] and have over 100K miles. I really hear it loud when I am idling using the drive thru at the bank. Cold mornings are loud until it is warmed up.

Out of curiosity is your AFM still enabled? Mine still is at 108K miles.

I always change filters. AC Delco only from day 1. Bought it brand new. Now have 108K miles.

By mistake the dealer put in 5w30 Mobil 1 in my 2016 5.3 Tahoe. Upon start up when cold it made loud lifter noise for just for a few short seconds. But only when cold. Did not realize until a week later when I finally looked at my service receipt they used 5w30. The tech who worked on it later...

I park in Manhattan and Brooklyn a lot. I always put my vehicle in a garage even for a hour. It is cheaper then fixing bumper damage.
