    In the manual it says 5w30 is recommended for maximum fuel economy. The pour point for 5w and 10w are both the same -36. They both flow the same it seems to me.

    I have a 1998 jaguar xj8 and the previous owner put 5w30 but i think that's too thin considering it has 102k miles and its a v8. What do you guys think? I used mobil super 5000 10w30 by the way and temps range from 40 to 70f at the moment but summer is right around the corner.

    When i turn my lights on i hear this noise

    So its possible the alternator is making noise when i turn the lights on and put it in gear? is it possible the belt is old and causing the noise when there is heavy load?

    So the answer is yes to when the lights are on and im in drive or reverse that makes the pulleys or belts work harder causing the pulley to make noise meaning it needs to be replaced or my belts need to be replaced?

    I pulled out the plugs on my 1994 infiniti j30 3.0 v6 and they were Bosch platinum+2 4301 but the manual calls for NGK double platinum 2647 so isnt this bad they put the wrong plugs in the car?     there arent really anymore mods that can be done to this car besides custom exhaust and air intake. The parts on the 300zx do not match up because of clearance issues etc but the motors are both the same.
