What's the "BEST" spark plug?? (*not* platinum)

Can I use brake grease in place of anti-seize??

I had to buy a small tub of CRC synthetic brake grease for a caliper job a month ago. Now that I have no other caliper pins that need to be lubed, is it possible to use this synthetic grease on spark plugs, EGR pipes, etc. I don't see why not, right??

    1080p 42" Plasma TVs?

I understand on a technical forum like this... people like to be as ANALytical as possible. But it's obviously much easier to say and to type, "LED TV" when one really is speaking/typing about an "LED backlit LCD TV". All I know is that I *definitely* don't want a plasma TV [or at least not...

What's the "BEST" spark plug?? (*not* platinum)

I started looking for dyno tests that changed spark plugs only, and there were a few tests done by SparkPlugs.com that can be found on various forums. The results mostly confirmed that, for the most part, there is a fairly wide margin of error in plugs. So dyno tests won't really be able to tell...

Oil finder / recommendation sites, based on temps?

Castrol seems to have the best "Which oil should I use?" site that I've seen so far, mainly for its wide range of temperature applications... http://www.castrol.com/castrol/sectionbodycopy.do?categoryId=9024084&contentId=7073092 But are there other sites like this?? The Castrol site lacks a...

    CarFax vs. AutoCheck vs. others

    oil recommendation

I would stick to two oil changes per year.... Amsoil 5w-30 in April and October, or some interval like that. There should be no need to change Amsoil as often as you are doing. It should easily be able to handle 10k miles per OCI. If you are worried about contaminated oil, then consider...

    Question about non-branded gasoline.

Not sure how true this is, but someone told me that Texaco was the only Tier 1 gas station. Chevron and Exxon were Tier 2. Anyway... my preference is to go to the "non-branded" station, which actually has NO ETHANOL.

Which tires for an '08 Corolla?

Hmm... I was liking the Dunlops, but it was mostly because of the lifetime rotation, balancing, etc. I don't suppose Walmart would do that "lifetime" package for new tires that I bring to them, would they?? It's strange that they say it's a $11/tire service... because when I called them a...
