    Why I like Windows

Yup. Run ANYTHING but Windows as your host OS, and stick to sandboxing it as your guest OS. Virtualization with any fairly modern processor, 8+ GB of Ram, and an SSD is the beez neez.

    Electric Bicycles - Need reccomendations

Yea, like I said... need to look into the controller bits more. And I think the OP is correct into looking at eBikes for purposes of assisted pedaling. Makes all the sense in the world to save the juice, since you can't replenish all that quickly without a second "pack". But I dunno about the...

How long to run engine [or not] before draining??

    Electric Bicycles - Need reccomendations

Not in your budget?? I'll share with you perhaps my favorite eBike build of all time, mostly because of its simplicity and cleanliness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsbOD09doRI I am more than likely going to mimic this setup once I get a hold more on controllers and such.... and depending...

How long to run engine [or not] before draining??

I've always run my engine for a minute or two to get the oil SOMEWHAT less viscous and expecting it to drain smoothly. And, I expect this doesn't get it as thin as would be preferred, so I typically take my time and let it drip for a while. Sometimes I feel like if I put the oil pan bolt back in...

    Why I like Windows

There are several ways to try Ubuntu... Put it on a thumb drive, Install it INSIDE Windows, Dual-boot OUTSIDE of Windows, Live boot WITHOUT touching Windows [or your hard drive], Or take the online test drive. Just don't act like Windows actually offers anything more than games...

    Why I like Windows

Windows 7 is OK, but have you tried removing any malware once it's on there?? My friends have a netbook with Win 7, and they were having problems with things slowing down. I take a look... and, of course, they're using the Administrator account for their everyday browsing. So I create them a new...

Pablo, you should consider adding an automatic shifting derailer as an option to your shift kit!! http://www.motoredbikes.com/showthread.p...9677#post359677

    Gauge vs gage

I spell it gauge, but there's plenty of words that I don't spell properly, because it's just how they sound and difficult to misinterpret.... - shoulda - woulda - coulda - gonna - wanna - thru - probly, or prolly (depending on how I would say it in person) - derailer (as opposed to derailleur)...

    Pennzoil Warranty

Double rats.... I was considering selling one of my cars, in order to buy a slightly newer one. But there's two problems I see: (1) The 15-year / 500k mile warranty [now?] only comes if you use Pennzoil Ultra, which I'm unable to find anywhere. (2) I'll more than likely only have driven 150k...

    Ammunition

And here's the clincher.... http://www.infowars.com/dhs-to-lease-10-million-firearms-facility/ DHS will now lease a "firearms facility" and could very well be able to create all the ammo it wants without the need to advertise it as transparently as they've been required to over the past year...
