High UVR and IRR on Factory Glass - diminishing value of aftermarket window tint?

Dunno about that. They generally use metals (Metal Oxides) in the glass to provide the rejection. I'd imagine those will outlast the vehicle.

High UVR and IRR on Factory Glass - diminishing value of aftermarket window tint?

Sure, but here in the blazing summers every bit helps. FWIW, from as far back as I remember working at a tint shop, 99.9% of cars on the road had some amount of tint in the factory glass. Not necessarily that new of a development. Even 'clear' windows on sedans would read in the 80% range.

High UVR and IRR on Factory Glass - diminishing value of aftermarket window tint?

Still going to cut down on glare and eye strain going from 81% VLT to even the (usual) legal limit of ~35%(ish). (Depending on state, your mileage may vary, usual disclaimers apply, not valid in Canada or where prohibited by law.....etc)

    2026 Ford Maverick Platinum

Sure, but he's probably not hitching up to any kind of trailer or doing anything other than driving it around. He's probably not going to ever put anything in the bed other than maybe some luggage.

    2026 Ford Maverick Platinum

I don't understand who buys the Platinum or Limited trim of any Ford truck (Or upper end trims of any truck really). If you want a luxury car, buy a luxury car, because you're certainly not getting a useful truck. Usually they are so loaded down with frills that you end up with about 1000 lbs...

Finally captured- a picture of the BITOG official ground and air fleet- together

Nahh, as pedantic as some here are, this is more BITOG speed. Can't leave any room for being wrong.

    12V battery charger question

Yea, but he's in Oregon and will have to deal with temperature, and charging from the truck when in use, so not just a straight up easy drop in. But yes, lead chemistry is largely dead for travel trailer/rv use. LifePO4 is pretty much ruling the day now.

    12V battery charger question

Not 110v charger related but have you considered adding a small amount of solar to the trailer? Ours came with a 50 watt panel that worked great as a battery tender when we weren't using it. Of course I've gone super far off the deep end with it, but having the solar and not having to worry...

    12V battery charger question

I had one of those, finally died. I tried several times to repair it, turns out the transformer had an internal short. They are awesome to have on hand for when 'smart' chargers are too smart for their own good.

Funeral escort services looking like police officers/uniforms

Yea, that guy is a real turd, he's been skirting on the very edge of the law for some time. Glad he's finally gotten some (more) jail time. Around here, the Sheriff's Office usually handles any funeral escorts. Not entirely sure what the law is in GA, never bothered to look it up, but I've...

Latest budget makes interest on American made cars fully deductible.

I haven't been able to get above the standard deduction for years now. Maybe with the OT thing and car interest I can get there. We'll see.

    Ethanol vs ethanol free gas

Why not just burn the cheaper stuff through most of the summer, then when end of season starts approaching make sure you run the tank down and refill with E0.

    2019 F150 - Owners Manual says 200K or 10 years for coolant - Reasonable?

Lol, I just realized you had a quote from me in your signature...... (y) As for the OP, likely fine. I'm not aware of any cooling related problems (I'm specifically thinking of RAM and their plugged heater cores) that F150's have. I changed out the Ranger at 60k/5 years, just because it is...

Shell Ethanol sample - please advise

So you put nothing else in the vial other than the sample from the pump? -Edit- I didn't see the water line on the side. So you filled with water up to the line and then with the gas. So it is at 0% ethanol then from the looks of it.

Maybe in Canada. Down here it is all over the map. Took this last week while we were on vacation.

Shell Ethanol sample - please advise

What exactly are you asking? Seems to look like your sample has a little less than 10% ethanol in it. Is it advertised as E0 or something?
