Engine full of Fuel. What is best to do?

Thanks Popsy. I think i will use the syringe with the tube that i used to pull the fuel out. That way i can put the oil directly on top of the piston. Maybe i can turn the engine by hand after putting the oil into the cylinders. I only have Rimula and 1 bottle of Total 15W50 SL, i will use...

Engine full of Fuel. What is best to do?

Summing up, i had a problem with the HEI ignition module of my Kadett, and the engine died a couple of minutes after turning it on in the morning. The worse part is that when i turned the key , before cranking the engine, i could listen to the fuel pump as i always do, but it was never turning...

Although your engine is perfectly fine, i like to keep the inside of mine looking cleaner, so i would shorten the OCI with a less expensive oil, if price is a concern. Varnish will eventually become sludge. Avoiding shor trips and using better gas may help.

What's the inside of your engine look like?!

This thread came at perfect timing since i replaced the valve cover gasket today. The car is the 1994 Kadett on my sig. I bought it last year with only 22k miles ( 27k right now). Although i could see from the filler cap that the engine was pretty clean, you can imagine the feeling after...

Idling A Turbo Engine Before Shutdown

I always think about that. When i drive the car on the highway, doing some WOT, i use the last 5-10 miles to let the car cool down, cruising around 2000 RPM at 50 mph. Two min off the highway and i am already home. So i don't let the car idle, because if i do, the coolant temp. start getting...

    Oil color

I am not saying the oil is good by how it looks, but can't really tell why you should do short OCIs running E85. I have to do a UOA to see what could be the problem. One thing that i can say is better, is that the engine is much less prone to develop sludge.

    Oil color

The color of the oil also has a lot to do with the type of fuel you are using, maybe using a better gas can be better for the oil, who knows. I don't think that the oil not getting dark, means it's not cleaning the engine. It has more to do with the type and amount of fuel, formulation and...

Oil Selection for Hyundai Veloster N - newer engine, limited existing oil data

I think you should use the X-Clean 8100 EFE if you already have that, should be a good match. Also have a look on these: https://catalog.lubricants.totalspecialties.com/en/products/6e5/QUARTZ-INEO-LONG-LIFE-5W-30...

After oil change. Noticed particles on oil dip stick.

Take out the dip stick and try to look inside and around the dip stick tube, maybe the tube itself is dirty. That is the only thing i can think from an engine that new.

Cognitive oil testing - database of friction tests

I know that these are the "one arm bandit" tests, but since he has a bunch of oils tested, could we take anything from it? Could we link these results to some property of the oil, like the amount of some sort of aditive or base oil quality? For example, he test Amsoil 0W40 and 5W40 with...

    Shell Rimula R4 X 15w40 , zddp level ?

Also, Rotella is CK-4 and carries MB 228.31 and Volvo VDS-4.5, which limits the SA (< 1.0) and P. Rimula is MB 228.3 and Volvo VDS-3. But i also believe the Zinc levels will be around 1150ppm. But i was expecting more TBN

Brand new car: the simple way to keep paint and wheels in decent shape?

I think a good quality cover it's a very good way on protecting a car that is left on the weather, the bad side is that the car has to be "clean" when you put the cover on. And if you wash the car, remember to run it a couple of miles to take away the humidity. If you can put a shade cover on...
