This Denso filter is from a 2010 Honda Civic. Filter has around 7k miles on it. Running a Mobil Delvac 15W40 motor oil.

I guess they call it phenolic/fiber gears. But it resembled, and drilled out like a hard nylon plastic.

I believe the odometer has rolled over once or twice so either 180,000 or 280,000. You're guess is as good as mine.

This filter is from a Ford 300 inline 6. Anyone who is familiar with this motor knows that it has a fiber/plastic camshaft timing gear. This gear failed, and was replaced with a metal gear. There were a few of these fiber/plastic camshaft gear particles that made it into the filter as you can...

Unknown miles or oil for this filter. Came from a Ford that is getting engine repairs.

Were you able to clean up the Fram threads? Or did you go with another brand?

No offense, but I wouldn't use these filters as they look highly restrictive

I find the only way to keep a vehicle from rusting out in the salt belt... is to spray all metal surfaces under the car, and in all hollow metal cavities with oil... yearly.
