2022 Ford Explorer ST - 3.0L EcoBoost - 2,130 Miles on Factory Fill Oil

Nice to see another ST on here. I currently only have 3k miles and did a change at 1k. Using up the free dealer changes before I take any samples. I plan to run either Valvoline Euro SP, or M1 ESP SP oil. I maybe will hit 6k miles a year so I wont be posting any OA for awhile lol. How do you...

How do people get away with tinting a windshield?

My ford pass/rear glass is 17% from the factory. Says so right on the window stamp. VLT 17%. I had the fronts tinted to 15% to match-ish and the windshield tinted to 50%. I was very worried about how dark it would be as I have had old dyed tint and it was hard to see out. The new ceramic stuff...

What do you think of the subaru crosstrek?

That's called the Subaru wiggle. Never been in a Crosstrek but every other Subaru I have owned did it. Figured it was the UEL headers.

    Scratch repair questions

Yeah I tried to call the # but they where closed already. The app did have a forced waver about damage so I assume I will be told to kick rocks. The damage is on the top of the "spoiler" and kinda hard to see unless looking for it but that's not the point. Depending on the answer I get I might...

    Scratch repair questions

Took my 2022 explorer ST threw a automatic touchless carwash today as a test before purchasing a membership. Its black paint but appears to be blue due to sky reflection. The "laser" guided sprayer came down and hit the wing/spoiler that extends from the rear window. Truck is 6 months old with...

    Explorer engine options

Bought a 22 ST with the 3.0 TT in Oct, no regrets. I only have 1500 miles on it in those 3 months. It has been rock sold threw all the deep snow and had no issues so far. Stick to 5k oil changes. I would bet 99% of the police interceptors will have the TT engine.

    Lets talk wipers

I run PIAA silicone blades, tried them once and now every car gets them. The other brands I am lucky to get 12 months out of in Colorado.

    Oil catch can

This is the one I have, works under vac and boost. It was a gift, not sure I would pay that price. Also have the billet PCV I can adjust flow. There are check valves in the hoses.
