I do own a Mercedes with OM648 Engine, Direct Injection and Turbo I have almost 122k Miles on it and there has been no issue with carbon spot build. I'm not going to worry about it.

Looks like you guys are still using 1st Gen tags. In TX they changed mine over to a sticker with a small RFID sandwiched between tape. It is convenient as I pasted mine behind my rear view mirror. But I avoid Tollways like Covid 19.

I recently had to change the water pump on my SIL 2015 Sienna. Replaced it with Aisin water pump and new coolant, It is cheap insurance. (by the way very disturbing to see an original water pump to go at 86k miles).

Not a BMW but on my Benz E320 CDI I use Pennzoil Platinum Euro L 5W30 and it meets MB 229.31 and above. Engine doesn't sounds angry.

None of my car's use oil so very seldom. On Toyota it has a dipstick on Benz I have to go through series of menu to check oil level.

Kreen goes into my Gas and Diesel.
