I thought we were on the same page as to these engines NOT having electronic oil pumps? My wife has the A25A-FXS, not the FKS as stated in the video. Does her motor have the supposedly electronic fuel pump?

On the quest for 0w16 or 0w20 oil, I cannot find any that are JASO GLV-1 rated? Is that because that rating is for the 0w8 oils only? TGMO 0w16 and 0w20 is only API certified, unless Im blind as a bat lol

So do you think there is a benefit to running 0w16 vs the 0w8? Im spec'd for 0w8, but looking to run something thicker. Would prefer to run 0w16 since its in the book, but I was told I could run 0w20 as well.

Do you think there is a net gain from running 0w16 vs the 0w8? Im not going to lie, I might not change it out at 5k, more like 6500-7500mi MAX. That should get me about two changes a year. dont say probably lol! Im always indecisive with stuff like this...

I got them to tell me that I can use 8,16 and 20w oils, in writing. So I have that, although the guy says he still recommends 0w8. Again for the 100th time lol the manual states as we all know, Toyota says we can use other viscosity oils if driven high speeds. Highway speed limits are 75+ now...

While I do agree, the manual states that we can use a higher viscosity oil if we see higher speeds etc. but never states what viscosity. That’s what’s odd to me honestly

This is true. I have a 125k/10yr warranty, just looking to follow the rules set forth in the manual and understand them. All while the dealers not being able to decipher what the manual says we can do.. smh.

Yeah but Im guessing you're under the same thought as I and many others, it says in the manual that we can use other viscosity - but it stops there. No guidance from toyota at all on this... Have you tried the district service rep or corporate?
