2014 Honda J35 3.5 V6 engine Oil and OCI recommendations?

Mobil 1 EP at the viscosity listed on the cap is what I run. Was Mobil 1 AFE or vanilla M1 before EP was offered. Own 3 J35s with 265k, 225k, and 115k miles. Disable VCM on the 14, you are in prime VCM trouble year/mileage. VCM Tuner II from vcmtuner.com is what I use, no experience with the...

Bosch 3323 used to be my preference but they are now made in Mexico and some details have changed, but still seem good.

    Engine oil for pulsar generator

For sure. Put on shady side of the house, in the shade, under a tarp if possible, on a hard/paved surface to cut down on dust/dirt, fan on the blowing toward the inverter side of the unit (control panel on most).

So I Used the Honda OEM Pad Provided Grease Packet on Slide Pins...

The grease included with the pads is M77 moly grease intended for: between the pad backing plate and the “shim” plate pad ears and their mating surface on the caliper (ss clips). I put it on very thin coat and I buy my own tube of it since the ketchup packets are hard to use and often dried...

Lake speed Jr inside Valvoline R&D lab to investigate their restore and protect

It would be interesting to see what your oil filter looks like after using the R&P, all the removed stuff goes somewhere. That is discussed on the video when they talked about the older Restore product. They had to create a product that was “safe” for general use. The video and product is...

Pennzoil Claims Formulation of Platinum Changed to Reflect New 15,000-mile Guarantee On Bottle

Why did you go with 5w30 in the Ody? Just curious of your logic to see if I need to learn something. Not starting a fight unless you are one of the Thickie-Wackos :) I maintain 3 Honda V6s with like 600,000 happy miles on 0w20 or 5w20.

Pennzoil Platinum Looks Cleaner than M1 after use - explanations?

I have observed this also, but as a man of science I was skeptical that it was my observation bias or some other explanation. I saw it with PP HM and M1 EP HM in the same vehicle. Interesting that others see it. I have observed also that M1 seems to be a little darker in new form. Also...

Oil filter gasket.....Oh no you didn't!

I put the clean oil jug on the floor near the new filter close to where I am flailing around under car… Makes it convenient for me to kick it over…. But, I dont open the seal and cap until I am ready to put the new filter on and dip my finger in it to use clean oil for the gasket and threads…

How Old Is Your Lawn Mower(s)?? And How Many Hours Approximately?

Deere/Scotts SP6213 (orange Scotts painted version of the Deere JS63) with the Briggs Intek 6.75 hp OHV engine. Bought June 2000. I estimate 25 hours per summer - mow weekly from May to August, probably 60 minutes run time. So 575 hours total estimated. Original engine. I change the oil at...

    5w-30 for new Honda 3.5L v6

The J35 Honda V6s do not have any issues with fuel dilution and it is certainly not caused by VCM. VCM causes other issues. The Honda 1.5 turbo DI engines do have an issue with fuel dilution but they do not have VCM.

12-qt box (plastic bag in box) of Mobil1 full synth off ebay. Fraud concerns?

This was 3 x 5 quart jugs for $75 shipped. In store and online they are $29.97 each now and I have seen them $27. Seller is listed in China and has 11,000 items sold with 300 items listed now - they list some M1 Euro 0w40 for $75, M1 EP 0w20 is up to $83. I hear ya on the stolen CC thing but...

12-qt box (plastic bag in box) of Mobil1 full synth off ebay. Fraud concerns?

No, they were shipped by Walmart.com from a Walmart distribution center with the same Walmart shipping labels I get when I order from them. No evidence of anyone other than Walmart handling it. Drop shipping if you are familiar with that term. The bottles were Triple Action label which is the...

From some experience with the 5 speed AT I think you have, try two drains and refills of the ATF. Some swear by sticking to Honda ATF, others have success with Valvoline Maxlife Multivehicle Synth ATF (red jugs) with a bottle specified dose of Lubeguard Red additive to improve shift quality. I...

12-qt box (plastic bag in box) of Mobil1 full synth off ebay. Fraud concerns?

I recently bought (on Ebay) a 3x5 qt box of M1 EP 0w20 for a price about $15 cheaper than Walmart. Bought for entertainment to see where it came from what I got. Box came from a Walmart distribution center in a neighboring state. Box and jugs are identical to all my Walmart store purchased M1...

    Honda factory brake pads GG-rated
