    GDI OCI question.

I’d bet that you’re just fine. Still, with a GDI, I would change it every 5k or 6 months (whichever occurs first). Heck, I do that with everything I maintain anyway. Short trips are harder on oil than constant driving and piling on the miles. $60-$80 a year is cheap, heavily contaminated and...

    GDI OCI question.

First question, did you notice an increase of your oil level on the dipstick or did you ever check it? 🤔

Fair enough. 👍 I hope that you’re doing well. 🍻

Franziskaner Wiessbier is fabulous! Please tell me you poured it into a glass, and left a little to swirl up the sediment to finish the pour. 🤔 🙏 When that swirled up sediment gets poured in, it makes it look like a “bad urine sample”, but the flavor is fantastic! Cheers! 🍻

    I lost my father today

I’m so sorry to hear this. You are in my thoughts during this hard time.

Thread for photos that 100% do not violate any Terms Of Service, not political, not too lewd, no gas price pics etc.

Given the choices these days, I would be more than happy to pay for a ticket to experience “RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK” in a movie theater again. I’d even buy a coke and a popcorn. 😉🍿 🥤

Road trip to Mexico, the drivers must have nerves of steel

That’s what gets us. We’re perfectly legal and everything is by the book, yet these guys run up and down the interstate in that 3rd world setup. With that said, we’ve only been stopped a few times over the years, but still, why isn’t this nonsense squashed? There’s far too many DOT cops and...

Road trip to Mexico, the drivers must have nerves of steel

Nah, they don’t have nerves of steel, they have brains of mush. That’s dangerous and idiotic. We’ve seen them leaving auctions in Tulsa like that. 🙄

Are oil filter cap wrenches useless?

“Hand tight” is a very broad spec. I have found that most people consider hand tight as “tighten it by hand until you can’t turn it anymore.” I spin it on until it touches and then it’s usually ~3/4 of a turn. That has it tight enough that it won’t turn anymore without putting some muscle to...

Oh it did. Usually if I get a car that has a widow web, they’re long gone. Not this time. I don’t know if you’ve ever felt a Widow web, but they’re not wispy and weak like other webs, they’re very irregular shaped and very strong and sticky. You can actually hear it “snapping” as you pull it...

Brake job on a 2013 Ford Explorer “Black Widow” edition. 😐

I’m proud of this young man. He works, maintains A’s and B’s at school, and appreciates things given to him. He was given our 2015 Chrysler 200 with 160k (158k when it was actually passed down to him) and he maintains it as it should be done. Here, he was caught finishing up the wax job on it...

I agree, these two have made the others obsolete in my case.

Neighbors rolled the dice on a manufacturer buyback vehicle... and lost.

Didn’t these newer GM’s face battery drain issues because of OTA software updates continuously failing and restarting over and over again? Surely that wouldn’t keep happening. If that was a problem, surely they would have figured that out between all of those visits. 🤔

What's a movie you used to love but now hate?

My contribution to this thread isn’t so much about a movie, but a movie franchise. Star Wars. I loved the Star Wars movies, they were good fun,….until Disney got involved. Disney tries to bring the modern day problems associated with the ideologies of our society into its projects and it’s...

Putting a Dog to Rest Forever, our journey will come to a close this month

I hate that you're having to follow through with this, it's always tough when the decision has to be made. I was a grown man reduced to tears when I had to put "Kiwi" (my ACD) down. They do impact your life so much! No matter how bad your day, or the mood you're in, they're always happy when...

Walter P Chrysler's great grandson "letter to the people, saving Chrysler, a call to action" is Chrysler at risk of going under?

Quite a few 200’s around here. Yeah, I guess I’m just lucky, it has nothing to do with the fact that I actually maintain a car as it should be. I get it, you contribute the bashing portion of this thread. Good job. I don’t even know why I’m responding to this.

Walter P Chrysler's great grandson "letter to the people, saving Chrysler, a call to action" is Chrysler at risk of going under?

Worked out just fine for me. We have a car that looks better, has the wonderful UConnect system, and isn’t as boring as a 2015 Camry. For the money, we got a car loaded with a ton of options and it has been a good car for 160k so far. It’s easily comparable to those two cars in the same class.

Walter P Chrysler's great grandson "letter to the people, saving Chrysler, a call to action" is Chrysler at risk of going under?

The 2nd gen 200 is based on the Compact wide LWB platform, but several vehicles are based on that same platform, including the Chrysler Pacifica. The 200 is in no way, even fudging, a rebadged Dart. They only shared one engine option, the 2.4l multiair, other than that, the drivetrains were...
