3rd Heater Core Plugged In 6 Months...

I've made the Toyota service writer go dig in the trash for MY, old worn out gas tank vent hoses that were dry rotted and cracked to death. I wanted to see if they ACTUALLY replaced anything. Dude went and came back with my hoses LOL. Remember THEY work you YOU.

3rd Heater Core Plugged In 6 Months...

Wrong answer. YOU bought that heater core. That is YOUR property. Everything on that truck is yours. A warranty claim is Ford supplying a new part at THEIR expense. Your property doesn't automatically transfer to THEM on warranty claims. Obvious the tech ghosted your truck. Or the heater core...

GM 5.3 liter V8/6.2 liter burning oil

Yes, installed at the Chevy dealer during covid. Labor was a huge part. Cam and lifters alone was near $2,000.00 several years ago. Timing chain, gaskets, coolant, oil change and so on. What would this cost now in the Biden 0 inflation era? LOL

    Thoughts on a new Tahoe

No they say to sell that time bomb off as in today if it was me. I was told even if you disable it, the lifters are still in the engine on 4 of the 8 cylinders that fail. Dealer can't put regular lifters in the block like the old reliable days. Oh no you need the $800.00 set of lifters alone...

Just wait till the cylinder deactivation technology dies on you. Costs us $12,000 for a new cam and lifters. This issue is all over the internet slash world. First comes oil drinking then a new motor. Sell it while you still can. Or don't listen to me. Do your own google search on this.

    2000 Silverado 5.3L oil consumption

The ol' thicker oil trick, that never fixes anything. You guys know, these engines with cylinder deactivation technology eat cams and lifters right? This issue is all over the internet slash world. Moral is don't buy any of these Chevy or GM vehicles. Better git rid of yours quick before you...

High Performance Lubricants No VII series engine oils.

Stunned how one magic trans fluid covers so many manufacturers specs. Not a fan of one brand, any brand for that matter, oil that covers that many vehicles. Are they all using the same exact fluid or what?

    What's in your grease gun???

How can you "improve" on a formula for #2 grease? Or were they making an inferior product all before? Now it has anti-sneeze in it? More like fake news.......

GM 5.3 liter V8/6.2 liter burning oil

We bought a then, brand new, 2016 Suburban with the 5.3 engine. Cam and lifters died, during COVID. I say that as all the parts delays was a mess. Any-who, Chevy dealer charged the same as a rebuilt engine $$$$, IF WE COULD OF FOUND ONE during covid. All they replaced was cam and lifters and...

    5.7l hemi oil.....

Doesn't matter what oil you use. The vehicle will be in the crusher long before the engine dies.
  16. S

    5.7l hemi oil.....

Which is NOT recommended in the manual for that vehicle.

    Motorcraft oil

But Amsoil says their oil can run 20,000 or 25,000 miles now. You guys are using the wrong oil. Theirs is better than yours.

    winter storage facts vs fictions

I can attest to this. Army NEVER changed anything. We would supposedly send samples to the lab????? Never heard back about changing any fluids out ever.

Pressure Testing Coolant System: Fusion 1.5L

Get on the youtube Forddrivingmeloco channel. Guy is a master Ford mechanic. He has several videos on these terrible engines. Ford put less metal around the cylinders causing head gasket leaks. Not even worth fixing. Will happen again. The Ford fix is getting a later year engine. Get a USB...

    Battery Load Tester Recommendation

New vehicles have things like electric steering, brake assist and so on that love amps. Fact is your alternator is not large enough to keep it topped off. One crank and the battery is already in the hole. Alternators never charge a battery fully anyway. Even on old cars. Tank any vehicle...
