VOA of AMSOIL premium protection 10w40.

All virgin tests for these. I haven’t seen a voa on 4 amsoil products I’ve been curious about or none showing the oxidation value or recent as well depending on which product. Used will show the exact mileage. I’ll test all of them in the same vehicle for these 2 ocis at a time so the second...

Fram Endurance vs Purolator Boss oil filters

I’ll stick with the amsoil still. I can get them pretty cheap with becoming a dealer plus I do love their products so it works out. I’ll be doing testing on various products as well with used oil analysis. I did 1 voa as well. I have 4 more about to be sent out I’ve been curious on recent...

Fram Endurance vs Purolator Boss oil filters

I’m just gonna stick with amsoil filters. Ended up becoming a dealer and I really like the products. Gonna do different testing in all 3 of my vehicles.

VOA of AMSOIL premium protection 10w40.

Both HDEO and flat tappet engines. Possibly older roller rocker engines as well that’s built and isn’t direct injection (just regularly fuel injected) but I’m trying to get more information on that. Ima run it in my ls lq4 to see how it does and do a used oil analysis on it then later amsoil...

Valvoline premium blue RESTORE and new updated valve covers for a ls lq4.

6000 for the first one so it’ll be very soon. Still very good but you can’t tell how an oil is doing just off the color of it. A used oil analysis will be able to provide that information. I plan on buying an oscilloscope and take pics with that under the valve cover. I’m very curious on how...

Valvoline premium blue RESTORE and new updated valve covers for a ls lq4.

Another update. After adding 2/5th of a quart with about 1500 miles on this oci I’ve put about 4300 more miles on it so far and haven’t had to add any. It’s doing significantly better. The valve covers was majority of the fix but I also believe the oil is also doing its job rather quickly on...

    Yes sir. No problem.

VOA of AMSOIL premium protection 10w40.

I thought that was boron that acted as both and calcium was just a detergent. I appreciate that tho. And yes sir. All about balance. With the truck just being regularly fuel injected and not direct injection I may run it and do a uoa on it to see how it does. Then amsoil z rod for intervals...

VOA of AMSOIL premium protection 10w40.

Been curious about this oil for a while and haven’t seen any recent VOAs on it. Decided to do one to see if it would be great for my application. Would have liked to see more moly, higher oxidation value, and around 300 less zinc. I’m sure this oil would do phenomenal in a built diesel...

Valvoline premium blue RESTORE and new updated valve covers for a ls lq4.

Another update. Using a 30 grade oil it usually uses a quart within 700 miles. With a little about 1100 miles it has used roughly 2/5ths of a quart. Still a major improvement for what it used to be. I’ll keep running all the premium blue restore I have left to try to see if it’ll help anything...

Valvoline premium blue RESTORE and new updated valve covers for a ls lq4.

with the truck doing better on oil consumption I will start doing uoa samples as well as a voa on amsoil premium protection since I haven’t seen any good updated samples since 2011.

Valvoline premium blue RESTORE and new updated valve covers for a ls lq4.

Update tho. About the time I normally have to add a quart for the truck it hasn’t used any oil at all and still no smoke at all. Very happy.

Valvoline premium blue RESTORE and new updated valve covers for a ls lq4.

Yeah I really love these for sure. I also had a 4.0 v6 2008 Tacoma crew cab trd off-road. Was a very nice mid size truck. Got rid of it at 300k miles and I wanted a full size again. It had some hard deposits under the valve cover that were small. And yeah repairs in the us have gotten crazy...

Valvoline premium blue RESTORE and new updated valve covers for a ls lq4.

07 and down gm has really been solid years for gm trucks. After that they started going downhill slowly. When 2014 came they switched to the Lt motor platform and they’ve have a lot of issues across the board. Not just the motors. Maintenance is still important but the gm really had it down...

I highly recommend staying away from any oil additives. Here’s why. Lake shows proof.
