Can someone explain "the spread" and "over/under" sport jargon?

The numbers are created by the most logical outcome and will fluctuate by the amount of money placed on each side of the number. This is to increase the chances of profiting. It took a bit for me to fully understand the financial outcomes of the +/- numbers, but having participated in this...

Airbnb, VRBO, Hotel/Motel. Which do u prefer?

Depends. On a three or more day stay, I always want a house/condo. I've had good luck but really put in work on the front side deciding what I want. If it's two nights or less, a hotel works just fine.

    Calif. Car Duster longevity

Had mine for 21 years. Still works great.

Is it just me or are municipalities using more salt on the roads?

It may be you. It's a point of emphasis around here to use less.

    Weather Related School Closures

It's been a mess. Snow, broken pipes, and cold. Our schools just flip to e-learning but can only do so for a few days a year. If you were wondering why they close so easily, it's certainly for liability issues. Drive by the bus stops before school. Kids don't wear coats. It's some kind of...

Its official - 60% of households and 82% of singles can't afford a new car.

New cars aren't for everybody. I didn't buy new until my 12th vehicle. I had numerous cars I paid less than $2000 for (yeah, I'm old) and wasn't interested in a large payment. Even my next purchase won't be new.

    Post your latest cold start.

Car hadn't been moved in 3 days and it was -12F. Some very interesting sounds at startup. It ran for 15 minutes before I got in. Then some more interesting sounds from the brakes and suspension. Good times. (y)

How many people still use paper maps?

Probably the same number that read a newspaper. We know you're out there. ;)

    2023 Cost of living index

Yeah. Good luck there. Most of the mid-sized cities in Illinois are the same thing over and over. No list needed.

Post Covid-World work life; changes for you, or back to the same?

Not much changed. While it did look a lot different, I still had to commute in five days a week. Traffic has been back to the old levels for awhile and there are still a bunch of people home most of the week. What I find funny is all of the new lingo and games that are played. Employers want...

Online motel bait and switch pricing.

Yeah. I haven't seen a room quote for under $100 a night in ages (OK, like three years ago). Maybe I'm just too bougey. 🤷‍♂️

    Laundry detergent and product tampering?

I'd guess someone swapped out a cheaper brand for the Tide and returned it. I think it happens all of the time.

    Simple return on Amazon

Yes, so easy. UPS Store, Kohl's, and other places. Your account is credited in minutes after you hand the item over.

    Safety nannies

I figure since our mapping programs know the speed limit on every road, there will be software that will limit the car to that speed. For a littlle safer action, they might let you go over for a brief perid and then bring you back down. What they need is pretty much already in place.

Anyone else having a white Christmas this year?

White Halloweens and Aprils around here lately. December has become the old October and Aprils have become the old Decembers. It is what it is.

Recent gas price increase. On Tuesday it went up 32¢. Has yours

Even in the second highest tax state in the country and my county adding another $.04/g, we're under $3 and have been for a couple of weeks. Weird.

    Social media - like Facebook

FB is fine. I can see what a lot of friends are up to without having calls or chats. X is funny to me as random people post stupid videos and rants to go viral. It's up to you decide what is "misinformation" as it's created by everyone and everything these days. So be sure to use a variety of...

    EV Police Pursuit Vehicles

This is weird. A lot of these vehicles are operating continuously. When are they going to charge them?

Would you go out of your way for E0 gas?

I do all of the time. When it's time to store the Mustang, I take the leisurely 40 minute drive to a E0 station for the fill up. When I'm in an area where it's available, I make sure to do a full top off before returning to the E10 Mandate area.
