Is that like "lifetime" or "sealed for life" transmissions?

Ok, I see it now. The very first UOA was whatever was in it when I purchased used. The engine specs 0W-20 but I have no idea what the dealer I bought it from had put in it. Coulda been 0w-20, 5w-20? Who knows. Every single other UOA has been 15w-40's.

At least I don't change my oil every 3000 miles and pay for a UOA!

So you are saying there are API limits to Phosphorus in SN oil but the limits are different by grade? What are the limit differences? If it was a cat killing difference, why would it be API CERTIFIED AS SN?

Thinner oils? I've never run anything but 15w-40 in this engine.

It is SN certified so it's good to go in gas burners.

Great motor oil and a well engineered engine. It s a five speed but being 58, I don't flog her. I drive her pretty easy.
