I talked to my mechinac of 30 years that I trust. He says change the filter clean the pan. It won't hurt and if it does not help get someone to change the valve body. If no go after that it done. manufacturers recommendations today are only to help their bottom line not yours

Replace filter and clean pan. Always change trans fluid regularly or this happens. All manufactures care about is getting past the warranty.

File a dispute with Nissan too

CPO means they inspected it. Obviously, the inspection missed the problem. that equals a buyback

Save the pictures and filter. Take to a toyota dealership and document.

Still cheaper than a transmission...

I would do a drain and fill per the Nissan procedure and use Nissan fluid. its not that expensive and these transmissions can be picky

I agree any oil filter will do for the engine

I would change the oil filter every 100 hrs. I have the same engine. I would change the Hydos oil more often maybe 150 hrs

Why do you think Kohler oil has more zinc? Koher and kawasaki engines are well documented to need more zinc. Just use whatever. If you are going to ignore good advice why ask?? good luck!

They used to recommend 1200 ppm min.

Its on there web site., Use want you want. Just pointing it out. Users on this have a tendency not to want to use recommended oils by manufacturers!
