Is a $50 oil change worth the risk?? Will people that say NOT to do an oil change pay for the repair? NO! Change the OIL! I would stop spending $$$ on oil smaples and just CHANGE THE OIL!

If you are going to keep the car a long time. (Over 50000 miles.) change the oil every 6 months. It's not the miles it's the stop and go and oil not getting to temp. Low tension oil rings mean just that. Very little tension to keep rings open. Short trips contaminate the oil causing varnish...

KEEP it. My old S&W was worth $1500. Never know how much a special serial number is worth. The old S&W models were much better quality than the ones today

I would change the oil at least every 6 months no matter how low the mileage. Toyotas have low tension piston rings like most manufactures and extended oil changes can cause the piston rings to stick over time.

Why take chances. Just change the coolant regularly. I heard this is happening on all of them. 4, 6 and 8 cylinders.

I talked to my mechanic that I trust. hes been working on vehicles for 50 years. He says nothing you buy today is reliable. Maybe a corrolla. Too small for me lol. I have a bumper to bumper 120000-mile warranty so not too worried about it.

I have a 2024 Honda Ridgeline with the 3.5 v6. So as everyone knows by now there is a huge recall on the v6 due to crankshaft or crank bearing failure. The recall is up to 2019 models but I am hearing that even up to 2021 are having problems. Anyone want to guess on the odds it goes up to 2024...

This is a simple fix. do a drain fill with quality fluid. Rough shifting when cold is normal for this unit. A quality syn will fix a lot of that.

Rock auto shows Cheaper than that so I don't understand why it's different. Go through the oil level check procedure. If its a 2017 and the fluid has never been changed, then it may not matter at this point.
