Tested 15 year old Nissan leaf coolant.

That’s really impressive. Older ICE vehicles would develop problems when engine blocks and radiators were made of dissimilar metals separated by aging, acidic coolant (the effect of a battery). I’m assuming that the heat exchanger and drive unit are both made of aluminum on the Leaf.

    Most interesting man/woman.

If you already know who you are, how can you find that person to be interesting? I’m enamored by chameleon-like people who seem normal and then surprise you. I once met a mechanic who would talk to his tools when he was in a tight spot. Now that’s interesting!

I decided to follow the advice of @TomYoung regarding his dark, recondite secret about coffee. It’s the best recommendation I have seen on this forum so far.

    Not Fully Formulated Motor Oils?

Every chemist working on a lubricant makes a formula for an intended purpose. Who stirs random additives and base oils together for no reason? I did find some oil made specifically for top-ups online. I would guess that it was not fully formulated when compared to a lubricant meeting a certain...

Manual 5 speed jumps out of 5th?

Rounded off clutch teeth on the synchronizer assembly can cause those symptoms. Other possible culprits include shift linkage problems or worn motor and transmission mounts that affect shift linkage operation.

Valvoline premium blue in gasoline engine

There was a member here with an old Focus who pushed his intervals well beyond 10k miles (using HDEO) with acceptable oil analysis results. The Olm in your vehicle was calibrated for a basic, API-certified oil from that era. Obtaining periodic lab results from your sump samples is the only way...

    Power Steering fluid

I was going off of the list of owner’s complaints filed with NHTSA for my vehicle. There was a recall for a power steering hose that can leak. These problems are related to the construction of components within the power steering system and not the fluid itself.

    Power Steering fluid

There are aftermarket alternatives that are recommended for use in Honda and Acura vehicles. I looked up a list of complaints for my vehicle by performing a web search and discovered that there were potential issues with steering racks and power steering pumps. I believe that these problems...

Are drilled and slotted rotors worth the cost?

If there were any tangible benefits for these features, light duty truck manufacturers would have equipped their trucks with drilled and slotted rotors from the factory. Drilled holes and slots reduce the swept area of the rotor. I’d stick with a conventional setup unless you are racing.
