    Cost for full brake job?

I'm pretty sure that on this site we all agree that vehicles are severely neglected, and yes, almost %90 of people only bring their car in when there is an issue.. Right? That style of maintaining property has been passed down through generations, no one wants to learn something they don't think...

Who has changed a fuel filter to fix a problem, successfully

Ah a question for the group about a bad tank of gas, and the causes of. I ask because I just remembered I found water in my tank when I dropped it to do the pump. While emptying the tank I sucked out maybe 5 gallons of gas, and about three quarts of water. The only way it could have gotten in...

Who has changed a fuel filter to fix a problem, successfully

I ran out of oil this winter because stupid. Tried to use my small diesel can that I kept in the garage for situations just like this one. I could not get a single trace of it out the spout. Set there for a few wondering why because I had literally forgot about the cold.. I felt like such a...

AH 3000 for sale... Please offer your thoughts

At 43 years old I just rode in my first convertible last fall. The feeling of being that open and free was addicting for me, and I have to constantly stop myself from looking at used ones. If a convertible in a modern sized car felt that good, I can only imagine how it would feel to ride in...

Any value in a used not good OEM water pump?

I had to help clean out my grandfathers shop when he passed away. They wanted me to throw away everything there, not bother with keeping anything. I wound up taking about 1500 new old stock Vacuum tubes he had, I remembered that an audiophile at work bitching about the price of used tube, had...

Any value in a used not good OEM water pump?

There are some rebuild kits still made for components like alternators and brake calipers, but most have been discontinued because of the cost. The are some components where the rebuild kits you would want to use because of the quality, can be more expensive than just buying one.

Any value in a used not good OEM water pump?

I'd probably use it as a target, I like shooting crap like lawn mowers and fridges. Checking out the physical damage is really fun for me.

Any value in a used not good OEM water pump?

Yes exactly why my fathers parents were hoarders, grew up during the depression. Both of their families were so dirt poor, dirt dirt poor, they were forced to live in a tent in the towns park, year round through winter too. Always getting evicted and struggling for food and clothing. :( Oddly...

Who has changed a fuel filter to fix a problem, successfully

When I was young and broke, I always purchased high mileage used vehicles. While doing it's initial maintenance service I always changed the filter which I always assumed were the factory. I've definitely seen diesel equipment have issues solved with a new filter (air filters too). Again, I...

Who has changed a fuel filter to fix a problem, successfully

I've used the dealer before to replace the filter when I couldn't bc of a bad injury. They literally told me that the clips are not available anymore and that I had to find them before they could perform the service... Five mins later Advance told me they had a set available right on the shelf...

Any value in a used not good OEM water pump?

Absolutely not.. My grandfather would probably have done the same thing.. He gave me a bundle of pencils as a high school graduation gift, he'd been been hoarding them for more than 50 years! Literally had some pencils he hoarded from WWII in England! 😂 Miss that cheap bastard.

Who has changed a fuel filter to fix a problem, successfully

I'm wondering who has had an issue resolved by changing the fuel filter in an automobile? What year model make, and issue resolved? I'm curious, because I have actually never heard of a new filter resolving a problem. And GO!

Take a guess on the problem

Fuel pressure gauge will best the best tool in diagnosing the issue. After you solve the starting issue, I'd the cap & rotor, plugs, wires when you get a chance, would probably run better afterwards.
