I've change a couple torsion springs. For winding bars, I just bought a steel rod at the hardware store that fit the hole....think it's 3/8". Pay attention to what you're doing & it'll be fine.

Looking to replace sections of underhood harness conduit/loom - a lot of it is turned to dust over the years. Any recommendations on a decent brand?

My guess would be metal fatigue after xxx number of contractions/expansions....

For sure get the fake MAPP gas & give it a try - not all the time do you need to get things cherry red...
