Yup, that one was fine. You get where San Pellegrino water is bottled and you drive up and up. Friend letting me do it in his M5 didn't hurt. Gesture appreciated. He doesn't let his girl touch it :) One off the bucket list. Now, find a CRX EE8 to do the same. That one will be trickier. Also...

Another electric car almost out of power.

For once, they sound right, wouldn't they... Ignition contact after an accident is an important thing... Decades ago a friend of mine got hit in the back on a French highway, doing about 100km/h, in a tiny Volkswaggen Polo. He had managed to fit himself (all 6ft5" of him), his not much shorter...

    Watched a documentary on OceanGate

It T'was designed by smart people who worked together and mostly listened to each other's input. And had to weed out an excess of candidates rather than running after individual clients.

Israel claims to have destroyed two Iranian F-14s on the ground

It doesn't matter much. To this day, kids in ex-communist countries born in 2000 babble about how it was better under the regime that fell in 1989. And that's with the West actually supporting them and having never bombed them. Once you get bombed, unity kicks in. Iran's regime can fall...

Another electric car almost out of power.

Him who has not sinned... I once ran out of gas on a German Autobahn in the middle of the night, with the one from my avatar shivering in the trunk of my CRX, just by an emergency call booth and a "Next station: 8 miles" sign. The voice that answered at the call booth told me if you call the...

Most likely they are cherry picking stations - too expensive, wrong brand, etc, and skip to the next one till it bites them back.

Six qts if this, and one of that 3rd gen 4Runner, 1996. 297950 miles, hopefully at next OCI it will start with a 3. The thing has probably been fed with pretty much anything, might as well feed it that now. Change at my local Valvoline place, same as last time with my Hyundai - great...

Another electric car almost out of power.

I wonder if being at a charging station with no gas pumps around would be as news-worthy. Then again, driving up to the fast charger, and coast down to the slow charger if I don't make it to the fast one, sounds like not too much of a brainer to me. Is their regen braking off as well ?

Israel claims to have destroyed two Iranian F-14s on the ground

With the right external investment and input - a civil war can last 80 or 800 years. And this one surely got good sponsorship, if we call it a civil war at all, and not the destabilization op that it is. Yeah, about that... Not becoming Russian by force, giving the local bully a bloody nose day...

I beg to disagree. - DE-regulating the banks caused sub-prime. There were a number of changes made a few years prior that allowed it to happen. - I will not start on firearms, as I don't want the thread to be locked within two posts. I'll just submit that even if we agree that the bad guys are...

Israel claims to have destroyed two Iranian F-14s on the ground

Well, after all, the most successful pilot in the history of the F-14 was Iranian - also the only ace with an F-14... So there :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jalil_Zandi

Was wondering what the thought process was. The cabin made it and it stuck on the trailer, but it looks like it was going slow, like checking it, rather than falling asleep clicking on a phone.

do you use free AI tools?

I'd add to these :giggle: - At the end of the day, the only business need is to do more work with less or zero mouths to pay - Corporate goals align with getting rid of IT as well, eventually, as they are substantial mouths to pay. - As savvy ITs cruise on a yacht built from the skulls and...

I use it to write powershell scripts for me, as I can't code myself. I wish I could write powershell, as the time I spend explaining what I want would have been better used there. For search - I don't rely on it one bit, except to find links that I can inspect myself. As for google - it has...

    Dashcam...Solve or create problems?

Of course not. What we mostly proclaim is that should the accident be your fault, you having a dashcam is a percentage of the risk, not 100% of it. You will still have all the chances of getting caught on the other party's dashcam, or on an intersection cam, etc. If you ran through a schoolbus -...

    Dashcam...Solve or create problems?

Oh come on now. If you constantly do something that shouldn't be on a cam - don't get a cam. There will always be some other cam to catch you, but at least you'd have done your due diligence. In all other cases, it's pure benefit. You can go your whole life without having a windshield washer...
