I have a 1962 BN7 Austin Healeyy 3000 and tried many different transmission lubes...Everything from ND 30 weight to 20w50 VR1, etc, etc. Nothing worked as well as Redline MT 90 ...It's all that I will ever use in this cars transmission.

I've seen many professional Porsche teams show up at races with cases of Mobil 1 0w40 from Wal-Mart,etc. and run it. Lot's of 911 factory race cars have never used anything else...I see others using Motul 5w40 and a few others....But those are the two primary off the shelf oils I've seen.

Both of these are Raced hard. They both get Motul 300V 5w40. We can Safely do 12 hour OCI's. Again, you are Peeing in the Wind trying to find a Magic Elixir...You've likely wasted more on oil by now than it would have cost to fix the flaw. Enjoy your GT3.

I'm extremely familiar with the 9A1 motor....No Oil is going to prevent the failures that the early ones experienced. Oil is Not going to stop it. It was a design flaw. Read some more, there's a fix...get it done and enjoy your 911. I'm not trying to sound Short...I've been there and done...

Wowza. Just drive the car and change the oil every 4-5000 miles. Use an A40 oil.
