As far as the prices of AR-15s go, I don't believe WM's discontinuation of their sale will have any significant effect. There are a very large number of places that sell firearms based on the AR platform, and WalMart wasn't a major player in this arena, in my opinion.

I agree with the others mentioning that he's checking for compressor failure. As long as the refrigerant isn't ammonia (R-717), sulfur dioxide (R-764), methyl chloride (R-40) or some other toxic refrigerant, probably little- if any- harm to the mechanic for such brief exposure.

Google "Henkel SLA-1286" and you'll see some references to it. It's mainly for use by oil formulators, but I happened to snag a gallon of it from someone who had a fair amount of it on hand. It contains about 30% molybdenum disulfide (MoS2).

I'd probably give the Lubro-Moly MoS2 stuff a try if I didn't have a bunch of Henkel SLA-1286 MoS2 additive on hand.

I get zero pop-ups here and virtually anywhere else. I use AdBlock Plus (the one with the STOP-sign-style logo) on Chrome and it has been very effective.

Doesn't matter to me WRT WalMart- I agree with what MolaKule said. Plenty of other quality gun shops within easy driving distance for me to even begin of thinking about WM.

If copper fouling befouls my shooting I usually use a modified version of Hoppe's No. 9 from the formula in Hatcher's Notebook. I don't have all of the chemicals listed but I do have ammonium oleate (homemade) and nitrobenzene which both act as copper solvents. I don't use it all of the time.
