    Choosing Extended Drain Filter

I do 10k oil changes and left a 20k marketed filter on for 20k. Didn't seem to cause any issues.

    Choosing Extended Drain Filter

Exactly! Some people have faith in the box that says 20,000 miles and some do not.

'Eat now, pay later'? DoorDash-Klarna deal fuels concerns around loans for takeout

I don't think scam is the right word. It's all transparent. We had a lot of delivery in college. It was time consuming to leave the apartment or dorm, walk to our car in a distant parking lot, drive off campus and repeat the process coming home. People in cities might not want to walk if...

    Choosing Extended Drain Filter

How would one know if the filter is working or not working within an interval that would be considered normal unless they had a pressure monitoring system that measured system pressure constantly?

    multiple break-in oil changes

His first words are doing this can extend the life of your engine. He presents no data that the engine life was extended.

Just ordered a new "Super" work station laptop

I remember years ago, there was an independent computer builder store in town. They'd advertise their prices for a specific build were only valid for 2 weeks, implying the price would go up. The joke was the price went down in 2 weeks as change was happening that fast back then. Things have...

Cracked cover on five month old Samsung washer- juice worth the squeeze?

HomeDepot had a Samsung washer on sale for $650 right when our old washer died a catastrophic death. The washer got horrible reviews, but for $650, we took a chance. It's been great. It's about 10 years old so probably at the end of its expected life. We'll ride it out.

    Low Budget Flying

I worked in a factory during the summer when I was in college. I was a helper assigned to a workman in the pipe and welding shop. It was very educational learning about working and doing stuff and learning about people. One guy that I was assigned to had been working in the shop for decades...

    Double over fill!

His Subaru was like a 2005 so I don't know the specifics other than Pep Boys drained the ATF and poured more oil in the crankcase.

    Double over fill!

That exact thing happened to my future son in laws Subaru at Pep Boys, but I assumed a dealer would not make that mistake. Maybe I give the dealer too much credit.

    Double over fill!

I'd guess adding oil when forgetting to drain the old, but your scenario is equally possible.

    Double over fill!

$2600 isn't chump change. I'd take the $2600 refund and ask for an extended warranty on the engine.

    New PC

I only have one M.2 in my current build. Only one slot for an M.2.

    New PC

I've been out of the PC build for 6 years. Does your MB come with 3 slots for M.2 drives or do you need an adapter to a PCIe slot?

Last Detail of the '89 Trooper

I had a very similar Trooper. 5 speed with that outrageously long shifter handle. LOL and the big round headlights. It was very slow but other than that, I can't say too much negative about it other than it ate power steering pumps. It was during a very bad part of my life, but the Trooper...

Titleist Golf Balls: Buy 3 dozen, get 1 dozen "free" till 3/31/25

I hear the prosecco and vodka and bourbon are good. Saw a young guy at the golf range saw off his Kirkland driver and send the head 100yds down range. I helped him to help retrieve it and advised him to return it to Costco for a full refund.

Titleist Golf Balls: Buy 3 dozen, get 1 dozen "free" till 3/31/25

I've played quite a few rounds with Kirkland balls. Only complaint is the covers get more scuffed up after a round or two compared to Titleist or TM balls. I use the Maxfli Tour balls a lot, too and they are a good deal. I'm pretty much in the oil is oil camp and golf balls are golf balls as...

Free Regripping on Golf Pride grips: Golf Galaxy/DSG till 3/29/25

I'm a fan of the CP2 Wrap grips. I bought about 40 Lamkin grips for $1 each when Golfsmith went out of business and still have a bunch of them.
