Nice!!! We have the same model and hopefully with the larger IMSB :) Are you a member of Planet 9?

I think Redlines are more "exotic" with Group IV / PAO base oil. I am sure Lake Speed Jr's "invention" of Driven oils are also Group IV based....I don't use any of those...good 'ol Walmart's M1 or Castrol is fine in my books :)

    Oil concoction/multiple brands at once

To me, it is mixing sodas or different brands on water....at the end of the day, the mix quenches my thirst :)

What should I do with "extra" oil?

YMMV and your choice, of course. If I were you, I would just use 2 qt of QS each time "just because" - no science. I have mixed more than a few times to get rid of leftovers. The last one was PP 0W 20 (4.5 qt) + Castrol 10W 30 (0.5) + M1 0W 40 (0.5) and but proportionally almost meaningless...

2019 subaru outback transfer case fluid

This is exactly what I have been doing with our '16 OB. Any GL5 75W90 will work. One "short cut" I have been using for the front is using the check plug to fill (using a pump) - I have never removed the fill plug so far...

Is it safe to mix 0W20 and 5W30 in 75/25 proportion of the same oil brand and type?

This....is exactly what I do - especially for our Subie OB 0W20 > 5W30. Plus, since I do not live in Alaska or North Pole, I don't even bother with xW label as I just buy whatever is on sale / cheaper.

I want your 993 but can't afford it :) If my son decides not to attend a college (actually in your neck of the woods), I may have a chance. For now, I don't plan to track - if I do, may be go up to 50 (or if oil burning - no oil burning whatsoever so far, knock, knock) - the latest is Castrol...

"Lower tier " oils you have run...

Mannol, in certain countries, is considered as a "PREMIUM, European" brand :), and not cheap. The "cheapest" I have ever used was Rotella when PepBoys had that $60 or so rebate (per 2 jugs) which resulted in basically "free" oil :) Otherwise, Kirkland, SuperTech when these rebates are not...

    05 Porsche Boxster 2.7 - first UOA, M1 0W-40, 5,000 miles / 11 months

Sorry for the late reply. I have no idea as I bought the car about 14 months ago and changed the oil only after a few months (plus they overfilled) - the oil actually looked really good / clean (visually) when I drained.

first Mexican taco stand to get a Michelin star

Dang...that's gonna increase the price even more :) Those taco prices in CDMX have been increasing rather significantly last few years....us Gringos get the benefit of USD being stronger and notice less.

    05 Porsche Boxster 2.7 - first UOA, M1 0W-40, 5,000 miles / 11 months

Thanks for all your inout....maybe I can try to fund more recent one. Just remembered putting in a bottle of techron a few hundred miles before the oil change...not sure that causee magnesium to skyrocket

    05 Porsche Boxster 2.7 - first UOA, M1 0W-40, 5,000 miles / 11 months

Mostly interested in the metal wear (due to the infamous IMS and/or bore scoring). Added some LiquiMoly MoS2 hence the "higher" Moly content than usual / VoA...not sure why magenium is through the roof though (MoS2???)

    Oil concoction/multiple brands at once

Your engine will explode!!! Joking aside I would personally use them for sure. While I have not mixed M1 0W 40 and Castrol 5W 40 during my oil change for my old Porsche 987 but refill, when needed, with either one or whatever is open. For my wife's Acura MDX, I "mixed" PP 0w 20 with Castrol...
